Responding to an erroneous statement by Ryan Seacrest about her new album due in Fall, the purveyor of the nasal neigh took to Twitter reveal that she will be riding the ‘Loud’ LP out until the wheels fall off…again (despite selling well, it’s common knowledge the album boasts little in the way of more chartable hit singles. Singles, of course, being her main claim to success).
Seacrest announced this afternoon:“We can confirm that Rihanna is currently working on material and will release a brand new album this Fall.”
Fenty, however, responded to the joy of fans and dismay of others by saying:
“The #LOUDera continues with more new music to add to ur collection!!!”
I see Fenty is dipping, once again, into her box of tricks. You know, the ‘how to stay successful without actually doing much of anything’ box. Regularly employed during the ‘shove her down their throats till they like the taste’ era of her career, it seems her team are going back to basics now that ‘Loud’ has hit a proverbial brick wall.
Perhaps she’d better off kicking down the door of a decent vocal coach or choreographer; folk who will help her make real (or worthy) the smoke and mirrors that is her career. Maybe then she wouldn’t have to release an album -or in this case re-release- every single year to maintain interest in an otherwise empty vase. Sigh.

I am a Rihanna Stan, but however, this really worries me. I remember when artists took like 3 year breaks before they released another album. They took time for themselves and time to create stronger material. Now the industry is milking everyone as much as possible. Sometimes a great marketing scheme for an artist is to take a break. Look at Christina Aguilera. After her debut CD, she took off for a minute and came back with Stripped (Her best album to date)! Then she took off again and brought refreshing material from Back to Basic.
Take some time off Rihanna….please. Do it for your career.
She had a #1 album on the world charts where it really counts. Plus she don’t need to take a break if she don’t want to. Each year she cranks out the music, it keeps getting better and better, and if its hot right now why stop? Look at what happened to all the artists who took a break. They fizzled out and are not as hot as the once were. Rihanna has it right. Keep striking while the iron is hot, while she’s still young and able to do it. WHen she has done it all, then she can take a break and then concentrate on phase two of her life which may be settling down, having kids etc. Go ri ri continue to build that empire and don’t stop until you want to.

To be honest, I’m not a die-hard Rihanna fan. However, I do think she’s a pretty girl and all that. To be honest LOUD is the only cd by her that I actually like. I don’t think she should re-release this album. She should take a break. Go away for about 6months to a year. Then come back and slay Rih Rih.

I don’t know what she would have in store for this re-release. I’d like to see more DubStep from Rihanna. I enjoyed it on Rated R. I LOVED her scatting during Mad House. I always wanted that Mad House intro to be some sort of full length single for a Rated R re-released, but that never materialized.
I never bought the original GGGB, so I don’t know how it differed from the Reloaded version, which I did buy. I really liked LTWYL part 2 and Man Down, but I hope she stays away from anything too dark. There was this track that leaked sometime ago with Ri and Justin Timberlake that was supposed to be on a rumored re-release of Rated R called, “Hole in my Head,” and I was definitely SMH about that and thrilled that it was never officially released because between Disturbia and Russian Roulette, the last thing Rihanna needed was another song about getting shot or burned or what have you.
One of the things that impressed me with LOUD is how well Rihanna straddled the line. LOUD is very much a pop album, but at the same time, she tackles gritty subject matter. She’s been playing with BDSM themes since Disturbia, and I like the fluffy way she approached it with S&M video. The Man Down was really what sealed the deal for me. I thought the video for Man Down was really brave, because it interpreted the song fairly litterally, although before the video, we never quite knew why she shot a man down. I think the reason why the media or the parents tv council or whatever really freaked out about Man Down as opposed to say the mass murder in the Telephone video was because Rihanna’s violence isn’t as cartoonish as Gaga’s. There’s a raw, realism to Rihanna’s violence that isn’t there with Lady Gaga.
So, who knows what she’ll do.
That’s good for her but I bought at least 4 copies of her cd’s and many many of her singles. I just can’t do it anymore. I love Rih but I have things I have to do and buy also. Now if it was a new cd I would buy only one copy and this is coming from a real die hard fan.
I don’t think this Rihanna and Gaga era will last much longer.

Loud was disappointing overall but put out a couple really good songs (S&M before it was overplayed and California King Bed). Her last really good album was Good Girls gone Bad and would sound better making music more in that sound. She is not as talented as many of the other singers and sounds horrible live, but will continue to put out some killer singles…….
Rihanna has atleast two more singles, that she could release from “Loud” left. Both her two new singles are still climbing the charts. So this era isn’t quite done.

Isn’t dumb-ass Sam from the UK? He continues to state that Rihanna’s ticket sales aren’t selling, when in reality, they actually are selling very well this time around. She sold out 10+ dates in his homeland UK, and sold out in Canada. I’m sure her dates for the US will be just as impressive.
