With all the hysteria surrounding Cher Lloyd‘s ‘Swagger Jagger’, it’s hard to believe she’d yet to even perform the single. That all changed earlier today, when she and her troop of dancers took to the stage at T4 On The Beach in Weston Supermare, turning in the first live showing of the track.
How did she do? Check out the performance, along with its‘Turn My Swag On’ intro, below…
Sigh.
Nerves? Bad angles? Bad song? Whatever the case, very little ‘connected’ in the performance, leaving yours truly wondering where this ‘swag’ she sung of was.
Granted the X Factor has churned out worse, I -like many- struggle to see the overall vision with Cher’s image and music. Something her team will need to rectify ASAP if she’s to even begin to be taken seriously. Because, as of now, she claims she’s dripping swagu, but all I smell is poo.

Serious? Backing track was too loud. She’s lucky the prduction was nice but the song…
Hate on the image she portrays, the lyrics of the song, Cher herself, but all in all, this performance was quite good in comparison to the mess of performances we occasionally get from artists who are near triple her age and have had much longer to perfect their craft. Cher is still young and new to the industry, she will make mistakes and learn from them, and who knows, in the future she might mould her self into something you might not expect.
And for those people laughing at Jay-Z’s interest in her and doubting his decisions… Take it back 8 years or so and you would have probably listened to Rihanna at her school talent show singing Mariah Carey’s “Hero” and died at the idea of her ever making it or being the massive global superstar Jay-Z made her into…
She looks dreadful. Also, why is Jay-Z signing such bad artists. Willow Smith and now this?

It looks like she is trying to be a white Willow Smith but she doesn’t have the stage presents or the talent.
Its funny that this girl is singing a song called “Swagger Jagger” when she has stolen everyones swag (Rihanna, Willow Smith, Keri Hilson etc). While we are on the subject of song title, her team needs a slap. This is what happens when you put a bunch of middle class, middle aged not it alls (but know nothing about music) fools in a room and give them licence to take from a culture which they dont even understand. At least have the decency to get the slang terminology right, before you start putting fraudulant 16 year old (looking like 40 year old) little girls to sing a song that she has no clue about.
