With the biggest first week album sales of 2011 and a No. 1 single Lady GaGa seems to be running the world of pop music. Earlier today, “Mother Monster” took to Twitter to answer fan submitted questions about her upcoming world tour. When asked about her next single GaGa reveled a few details.

Gaga is too self-conscious to be fun, and there are too many half baked ideas thrown together for it to make sense. It’s like songs now are just random hooks frankensteined together with glossy production and given titles that the songs themselves don’t live up to. Her new album isn’t art, this is commercialism trying desperately to make music addictive, and it lacks all the warmth, emotion, and accessibility that makes a great album.

Everything she does is so over-produced and exhausting it’s made her music so much less fun. I wish she’d find a way to do her music without being so humor-less, I can appreciate the effort and hard work but come on Gaga…you’re a pop singer. You can wear meat dresses and say you’re representing yourself as a bi woman pretending when you’re with your boyfriend but your songs lack the daring of Peaches, the irony of M.I.A. and the inventiveness and lightness of Madonna.
I just wish she’d take a deep breath and see herself for what she is and approach some of these songs that are ‘I Love The 80’s soaked with less bs.

Lady Gaga’s formula is so predictable. She over hypes and exhausts the hell out of her productions. Edge of Glory is the perfect example. Gaga swore the video would be out of this world. It was such a let down. Her singles are always hits….for a short run. She reminds me of Britney. Britney’s singles have quick success. Then they start dropping like flies.

I’d never be stupid enough to call BTW a flop, but I would say it’s already had all the impact it’s going to have. Nobody’s very excited about it and all the excitement is over. Just not a very good album, mainly because she over hypes and overextends her musical importance. As a musician, she doesn’t offer anything new. If she wants to be in the same category of fearless females like Bjork, Kate Bush and even Kelis, she sure as hell better start focusing on her music and not her outfits.

The reason that Lady Caca is a flop is because her marketing team and her own gimmicky antics tricked people into thinking there was something worth buying in this album. I can acknowledge that she sold alot of records, sure she sold a million of copies first week. Gaga and her team could have sold people an album of her farting and people would have bought it up in the masses because of her antics,massive appeal, and pr marketing. But you know what happened, people woke up and realized that they were tricked into buying garbage. The fact that her album was sooo “successful” and is dropping faster than a prom dress goes to show that while anyone can sell a bag of dog$hit to millions if they try hard enough but as soon as people open the bag and see the putrid pile of feces they wont be buying it again or recommending it to their friends. @Perrylicious, Teenage Dream may not have been out for a year, but it’s been out for 11 months. So if Gaga’s only a couple thousand copies away from Teenage Dream’s sales, in just 5 weeks, then Born This Way will undoubtedly pass Teenage Dream. Also, if I recall correctly, Katy Perry was struggling to even hit 200K copies in the debut of Teenage Dream. Also, it’s sad that it’s only sold THAT much, when it’s had all these number one hits. Lol, no wonder Katy and Rihanna are great friends. How you sell all these singles, but no albums? Haha.
