It’s been a year characterised by chart success for comeback kid Chris Brown. As such, the 22 year old caps it off with a sprawling North American trek billed the ‘F.A.M.E Tour’.
Named after his hit album of the same name, Brown’s jaunt kicks off next month with R&B diva Kelly Rowland featuring as a special guest.

Chris has paid tribute to that man since he debuted in 2005, and his MJ tribute at the BET Awards was EPIC! Now I want him to focus on himself. I’m sick of people trying to say that he is trying to be the next MJ and copying his moves. I think after his MJ tribute at the BET Awards that was enough and now I want Chris to focus on himself as an artist & distance himself from MJ’s name.
I think they are over doing it with the tributes at this point. It’s been 2 years and there have been DOZENS of tributes and EVERY damn award show has done one for MJ. It’s over kill now! If the family wants to do a tribute they have that right but I think it looks like they are just capitalizing off of his name now. Maybe if it was like a ten year anniversary or something like that but it seems tacky to do one now.
When I saw some of the names that were asked to participate in the tribute, I just laughed. I mean Jay Z? He’s a rapper, what the heck is he gonna do? Justin Bieber? That boy can barely dance. It’s like they just named a bunch of big name people to attract an audience. It’s seems like it’s gonna be cheesy. Besides CB & maybe Usher, who can really do the man justice? It’s no big deal it was just corny blogs and s*** like B***** giving him “the side-eye” for turning down the invatation from Ms.Katherine Jackson. Saying “apperantly there is a limit to how much Chris Brown loves MJ” like boo bye. And the comments were like “well it seems everyone is an MJ fan but can’t take one day out of their schedule to do the man justice” and all this other s*** about how Chris used his name for fame but won’t pay him a tribute.

And I hate ignorance people don’t understand that to you dropping what you are doing might be easy but these celebs can’t cancel plans like you can take a day off from work. He has a date from his tour on the 8th of October. The tour has been in the works for months. It’s not as simple as canceling HIS show to fly to UK and pay tribute. He would have to deal with his tour promoters and re-scheduling s*** cost money and you can’t be canceling shows just to go do another show.
In my opinion they should have asked the celebs first than picked a date. Didn’t they try to concert thing before and it didn’t work? It’s because everyone is busy. And peopel think they can just drop what they doing like wtf?? And I feel bad for these celebs because there are idiots talking about “how can you say no to MJ” saying it’s disrespectful…but what’s disrespectful is you know damn well your ass didn’t even like the man before he was dead so shut that s*** up.

I swear.. I just DON’T get the idea, notion, logic, rational of having Kelly Rowland on the tour! She’s NEVER had a large U.S. following – NEVER..!! Her best year(s) was almost 10-YEARS AGO, 2002, and she’s NEVER, then nor since, had a Platinum U.S. CD/Single; N-E-V-E-R…!!!
(Sigh..) I mean categorically…
1.) (As said..) She’s never sold in the U.S. And 2002 was almost 10-years ago. That was while DC’s magic was still fresh, clean and new.
2.) “Here I AM” sales have been nothing short of a disaster. Her second week revealed a 70% drop-off in U.S. OTC Retail Sales. Her World Wide Sales are 78K (including U.S.). And “Motivation” radio spins are fast declining.
3.) Her late night Broadcast TV performances have been roundly SLAMMED on the Urban Blogs. Don’t believe me? Well go and read the comments on YBF and the other blogs.
4.) Comments that follow her “Blog threads/posts” are lackluster, rehashed and seems well-rehearsed (no doubt HER team).
5.) She’s NOW taken to hyperbole, hysteria, if not outright lies – I checked deadline, there is NO coming, planned nor announced “Kelly Rowland Sit-Com/Show”! (If deadline didn’t do a post on it, then it’s not happening!)

Chris is reducing the cost of “F.A.M.E” concert tickets – for HIS fan’s sake – he’s said so! This shows HE cares about his fans and supporters. At 1st I didn’t see the logic in including her but strategically it makes some sense! With her ,he will draw from a different population, the older crowd (30yr olds). He has a wide and diverse audience but she will bring in a crowd he may not have previously tapped. And having seen him perform live, I can honestly say that once you attend a Breezy concert you are a fan for life!…LOL!
Also, she I think will be one of a few opening acts he will use. I hope she’s replaced by the time you see him though…..LOL! I know she’s NOT one of your favorites! 🙂
