As excitement grows for the 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards, the good folks over at MTV have caused a fan frenzy by initiating performance polls to honor the ceremony’s best performances of all time. Though the winners of the polls will be announced leading into the actual ceremony on August 28th at 9pm, unlike the new ‘Best Video With a Message’ category, this will be a one-time deal.

Xtina or nelly fortado have never won vma’s
i take that back Xtina has won 2 vma’s but that was for lady Marmalade not as a solo artist.
shakira hasn’t won much but if she does somehow win it’s always the technical category’s, JLo has won a few, and Nelly Furtado hasn’t won any but performs.
Beyonce always wins the vma’s every other year so she has plenty of vma’s, Usher won a few in 04, Missy wins big when it’s her year! 03 and 05 was her year she’s won a couple more then any female rap artist, Aaliyah took 1 or 2 in the last year before her death, chris won an award back in 08 and will probably to more this year. and Rihanna had her year back in 07 but hasn’t won any since.
