For if performances from the likes of Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Adele, Lil Wayne or Chris Brown weren’t enough to tickle your fancy, perhaps the report that Jay Z and Kanye West have now joined the long line up of performers will be enough to secure your viewership.

Set to perform material from their collaborative LP ‘Watch The Throne‘ , the details of this live rendition are reportedly shrouded in mystery.
According to E!, very little is known with regards to when the pair will take to the stage and with speculation growing that they will be joined by Pop force Beyonce who lent her vocals to the song ‘Lift Off‘, there is no denying that ‘The Throne‘ may just steal tonight’s show.
please don’t tell me Beyonce’s performance is with them two! I would love to see them perform Lift Off but why the VMAs, I want Beyonce to perform on her own! 🙁

Beyonce and Jay Z have been in Barbados in the last couple of days, so I think she hasn’t been rehearsing that much which could mean its a simple performance like this. OMG

It will be…..I think Jay and Ye will perform around the beginning of the show, performing Why I Love You and then Bey will come out to join them, performing Lift Off. Then Bey will come out nearer to the end of the show and do Countdown and Party.
@Teyah LOL They were n Barbados and they are bac now. She has been rehearsing and ive heard that the male dancers from her I AM TOUR are bac with her…..so they must b performing with her at the VMAS. Jay finally agreed after first turning it down. I think the recent Lil Wayne subliminal shot had something to do with it. He rich but he still hood and i know he didnt like the comment. He wants to flex his power a little since Lil Wayne and Drake are performing together. MTV will most likely schedule the two performances close to each other. Probaly Jay and Ye being towards the end. Kanye will have a fit if they put them on during the middle of the show.

Beyonce will be triple truble for all you lessers. Singing countdown which means ur days r numbered and the party just to celebrate the slaying and crushing of haters. Before u know it Jay and kanye will lift her off to conquer the moon and the stars.

I think she is performing Party and Countdown because on facebook it says on her page LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN TO THE PARTY AT THE VMAS BEYONCÉ RETURNS TO THE VMA STAGE AT THE “2011 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS”.

Lift Off is a great song so I think it would be cool for Bey to do her own set, in addition to one with them. I actually like there is not an overhype to her being on the VMAs. Usually that means there’s a surprise element up her sleeve like the Billboard awards. The VMAs had to add surprises, Bey and more performers because of the negative responses from people here saying they are not going to watch it. It will be interesting to see what she will perform, what she will do.
I like Jay Z, I don’t find him boring. He has an old school element which people overlook. It’s not about spitting rhymes fast. Too many rappers do that or they talk. As much as Kanye get’s ragged on, he also puts on a good show. So the both of them together will be interesting to watch.
Beyonce will be performing on her own as per tweets from her dancers and if kanye and jay are performing lift off then she may join. What an award show I can’t wait. This would be a Britney and amy tribute but i doubt they will receive so much attention. The line up is crazy this year. I am not there for Britney at all. I really need to monitor the ratings.
For those who find Jay z boring. ever wonder why he is around for so long. Rap/ hip hop has a history of no longevity and Jay z is the one to survive and have immense success throughout his career. He has matured with his music and grown with his audience. His lyrics on majority of his songs are great unlike those rappers who try to stick to the teenagers. Most honored and respected hip hop star. JAY Z . Your History is important especially those who were no even conceived at the beginning of a lot of artists career. Your opinion is useless.
