Leona Lewis has hit the promo trail for latest LP ‘Glassheart’ and hit it hard. After a high-profile spot on ‘Red or Black?’ last night, the singer head over to London’s G-A-Y to perform an array of old and new hits – most notable being the album’s title track.

She may as well have had a glass body, given how little she moved.
Worse still, the material is sounding like more generic Dance. A shame, as her voice deserves better. I mean even if her team were going the “ride-what’s-hot” wave to snag a hit, it’d help if she had a semblance of stage presence to carry such a sound in what is altogether a more upbeat era.
I’ve always said, the Leona model (i.e. ability to sing only) would have worked effortlessly years ago. Yet, in a time when being able to sing is preferred rather than required, an artist needs to bring more to the table – be it the material (Adele) or image (GaGa). For poor Leona, she’s yet to perfect either – ultimately leaving her in the uncertain territory her career sits in now. We can only hope the album boasts many a gem, because neither this nor ‘Collide’ are hitting the spot.

I love the song and the performance, but ‘Collide’ is better. Leona is going to do well hopefully!

@TJ I don’t know why they chose Collide as the lead single especially when they have Glass Heart. Now that I can hear the song clearly it sounds like a SMASH in waiting.
Her label is so clueless!They have completely misjudged her position in the industry and her lane.The half-naked dancers and the stars under the eyes are not her!The song sounds pretty good and I don’t think it’s generic, but they either need to get her an image NOW.She will either be a vocalist or a perfromer.She has to be marketed as something.Right now I feel like she is marekted as “the X Factor winner that is coming back”.That’s not enough!

Disagree with this dribble of an article. To be at GAY last night and watching her, she does have a presence, a pretty amazing one. And when she sang Glass Heart it really did sound incredible. These articles are getting a bit lame now. But i do agree her management are bollocks, however she is genuinely really happy in what she does. She’s loving it, her fans are loving it, whats not to love?

Leona is beautiful and talented. She takes risks by trying something new. At least give credit when it’s due. It’s not all about being the next Beyoncé or Lady Gaga.
Singers like Whitney, Mariah, Toni had successful records without being great dancers. And there’s some artists who’s great dancers and not so great singers (Don’t need to give names).
Leona is a vocalist first and foremost..she is not a dance like beyonce who dances amazingly…for Leona to try and dance like that would inhibit her being able to sing live…Wherever Collide gets in the charts after the controversy it has had and late release of video etc it will have put leona back in peoples minds her album is meant to be amazing and by the sounds of glass heart which I love already, ..makes me laugh if Leona did a duet with adele would those haters then say Oh Adele shes boring or Leonas boring adele is hot?…some just hate on a voice thats kicks the s*** out of her contempories…
I really don’t like her doing dance songs. I think she should stick to ballads….I know that’s what she truly wants to do by looking at her lack of energy in these performances.
Nice girl I agree with ya Leona is best doing songs like Run and Happy but it seams like the company has sold her out to whats in the charts now or she trulely didnt show us fans what she was all about untill album 3. No matter what I just hope the slbum aint full of dance as that will be one album I will not be getting as I want Leona the voice not Leona with auto tune. So heres hoping we have more songs with the big runs etc.
