With not long to go since the release of J.Cole’s long awaited debut album ‘Cole World‘, today saw the surfacing of a song which features on the LP, named ‘Nobody’s Perfect‘.
Featuring ‘Work It‘ maestra Missy Elliott, the reflective release sees the Roc Nation Prince address a number of issues, from his relationship with boss Jay Z, to how he went from being ‘stressed over diwanna’s‘ to be being ‘stressed over Rihanna’s‘.

With exactly a week until ‘Cole World’s is released in the US, this effort will be sure to remind many of Cole’s doubters as to why so much hype and excitement surrounds him.
For in a world where many of Hip Hop’s highest charting singles are lyrically lacklustre and deficient in depth, ‘Perfect’ flaunts both Cole’s versatility and skill, a versatility and skill that will hopefully take his brand of thought provoking Hip Hop to wider audiences a la Drake and Kanye West.

*sigh Sorry, I don’t like it at all.He had some good rhymes, but the flow was weak, half-hearted and lazy and some lyrics were cringeworthy (the “lazania” one especially 😕 ).This song did to me the exact opposite to what the “review” states.It made me understand that maybe I had overestimated him a lot.I know it’s not fair to judge yet, but I’ve heard 3-4 official tracks off of the album and none of them was AMAZING.Sorry…
Btw, I really enjoyed Missy on this track.She was the only saving grace of it.J Cole was beyond disappointing.He was talking/singing ala Nicki/Drake until 02:10 (approx) and then he started actually rapping for 20 seconds and it wasn’t even that good.I still hope that he will have some great songs on the album and I may check for it, but I thought it doesn’t look like it’s going to be great.

At the beginning I thought it was going to be really bad, but then when it got to about 30 seconds into the song I started to really enjoy it. Missy did great on her parts too! I will check out the album when it comes out.

I love this song hearing missy is so good. It’s what the world needs right now. Ha. I have been disappointed with his first single, second single better, this is great though. He’s not a singles artist. Ppl have to remember he’s so new to most listeners his fans expect so much. That’s understandable just don’t right him off because you don’t like a few songs. This boy GRINDS & has a mean back catalogue. Check them out OR buy the album
