New Video: Sean Paul – ‘Got 2 Luv U (ft. Alexis Jordan)’

Published: Friday 16th Sep 2011 by Sam

Sean Paul. Four years ago that name would have been synomous with an ‘international chart-topper’. Fast forward to today and the climate is altogether quite different – after years in the musical wilderness.

Hoping to turn the tide, Paul has teamed up with newcomer Alexis Jordan on comeback effort ‘Got 2 Luv U’. Already a hit in France, the clip for the cut was released moments ago.

Check it out below…

Standard-fare.

Luckily, though, the song boasts a catchy hook and melody to give it enough hit potential. Whether or not it’ll facilitate a Sean Paul comeback (ala his 2004 hey day) will be interesting to see.

I just felt a 2004 trash can slapping me in the face…wow.Alexis is the clip’s one and only saving grace, but it can’t really be salvaged tbh.And I don’t get why it couldn’t be shot in the US.It’s not like they shot the video on top of te Eiffel Tower, it was a club and a hotel

I’m not too crazy about the video… but I’ve been LOVING the song since it surfaced, and I’m glad to FINALLY hear Alexis on U.S. radio! :] She has the potential to be big!

The beat is nice and so are Sean’s vocals. I hear this song on the radio every once in a while here in the states, but I must admit that something sounds a bit off with Alexis’ vocals when she sings that “aaaa yeahhh aaaa yeah” part. If I were the vocal producer of the track, she would have had to sing that over again.

very unoriginal and I think what made sean paul great was his reggee, dancehall music….with the jamaican feel to it and dancing.

but the song is catchy but nothing really compared to his old stuff….I think I heard got to love u 5000 times….thats probably have the lyrics there….yes, I know it’s the chorus but come on…

and alexis ruined the song. trying to hard to sound and be like rihanna.

I liked it. I always remember Sean Paul as the guy who did Baby Boy.
