While vocal prowess was never anything Terius could boast of, singing through his nose like that is the ultimate no-no. Something he, as a songwriter/producer, should be well-aware of.
Beyond that, the video – while a recession special – is commendable given it’s essentially for a free cut. What’s more, beside few instances of unnecessary vulgarity, the song is lyrically quite engaging. Further highlighting why some folk operate best behind the scenes.

Comic relief?Why not?Anyway, this song is below average (and the lyrics are not that special either) but it could be solid if performed by someone that has some vocal talent and actual presence and star quality.I know it’s probably very harsh, but after 3 albums, hasn’t anybody told The-Dream that he sucks as an “artist”??And the most tragic is that he actually thinks he’s the business 😕 Poor thing 🙁

I’M A FAN OF THE DREAM AND HAVE ALL OF HIS ALBUMS AND I LOVE HIS WORK AS A WRITER AND PRODUCER, BUT I’M HIGLY DISSAPPOINTED IN THIS “1977” MIXTAPE…. BUT “LONG GONE” IS DEF ONE OF THE FEW TRACKS I ACTUALLY DO LIKE OFF THE MIXTAPE. THE LYRICS ARE ON POINT! AND I’M SURE A MAJORITY OF PEOPLE CAN RELATE IN SOME FORM!
