Few siblings can rival the combined star power of Michael and Janet Jackson. However, for the the latter, that connection goes deeper than sharing the same last name. In life, Janet always had her brother’s back, and in death it’s no different.
After mounting a wildly successful ‘Number Ones’ tour, the 45 year old today announced a brief hiatus from the Australian leg of the trek. For, she says, it’s imperative that she joins her family back home in the US as the trial of the Dr accusused of causing the singer’s untimely death draws nearer its end.

A statement on her official site read:
” I want to thank my fans in Australia for their love, support and understanding. When I planned these shows, the schedule in California was completely different. After talking with my family last night, I decided we must be together right now. I’m looking forward to being with you for the Gold Coast, Sydney, and the Melbourne concerts. You are all so important to me. This saddens me in so many ways. I love you,” said Janet Jackson in this exclusive statement.
To ensure that Janet’s Melbourne fans do not miss out on her “Number Ones” tour, the concerts scheduled for this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday are now planned to take place in a special configuration at Rod Laver Arena for one night only on November 3rd. Tickets for all of the Melbourne shows will be honoured at the Nov. 3 concert.
“It is important that Janet is with her family at this critical point in the hearing. While Janet and our company apologize for any inconvenience for the reschedule of the Melbourne shows, we thank Janet for the great and successful concerts in Perth and Adelaide and eagerly await her return. I’m sure the rescheduled concert on November 3 will be a very, very special night. Our thoughts and prayers are with Janet and the entire Jackson family,” promoter Paul Dainty said.
Janet’s concerts on the Gold Coast and in Sydney are unaffected.
All ticket holders from all three Melbourne performances will be contacted with their re-allocated seating shortly.

Janet tried to do an Arena tour with RockWithU and it went bankrupt. The seats were empties and she had to just stop it and even cancelled her entire overseas leg due to “the economic crisis”. LMAO!

If you want to go there, how about you state that she’s been doing multiple nights in the same location that would equate for an arena size venue in most locations. She could easily do one night per tour stop and keep it moving. She chose to do smaller venues with multiple dates in the same city so her fans could see her UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL!!!! Get the point?

I’m sure you just got on wikipedia and looked for the ONE show you can find that was less than 99% sold out and that was ALL you could find. I’m gonna help you live up to your name “truth teller” and add some TRUTH to your life. She sold out pretty much every other show on this tour including MULTIPLE shows (3 or more) in Toronto,Chicago, LA, Vegas, New York, and London to name a few. Oh, and yes its billed as an “Up Close and Personal tour” but she’s still squeezing a few arenas like Hidalgo which she sold out as well. I’m not gonna list everything to you because quite frankly you’re not worthy of THAT MUCH of my time…but it is rare that ANY artist (other than Michael frickin Jackson) sells out an ENTIRE tour of 70 shows or more WITHOUT an album and little or no promotion whatsoever. Have you seen Janet or anything on tv plugging this tour? No. But she’s still slaying. No explosions, special effects, or stunts. Just pure raw talent and she’s slaying. She can stand on stage in nothing but jeans and a t-shirt and stare at the crowd for a minute and have people crying and screaming her name. To this day! (I’ve witnessed it myself) She looks hella good and can dance better than most if not all the females in the game right now. That is what you call a LEGEND!
