FINALLY.A mainstream list that doesn’t favour anyone!!It actually looks fair.I didn’t expect any groundbreaking nominees, but they did justice to the usual nominated artists and put them in the right categories (well, a few exceptions, but still…)
I don’t remember exactly what I voted for, but I gave a bunch of votes to Christina for favorite pop and favorite female, I voted for HIAM and MLJ in song of the year, ‘Femme Fatale’ and ‘F.A.M.E.’ as albums of the year, Cee Lo and Chris Brown as favorite male artists and Lupe Fiasco, B.O.B. and Ludacris (I love the tone of his voice) as favortie hip hop artists.I don’t remember any of the other categories.I think I also voted for J Lo, Katy and maybe Beyonce, but I don’t remember in which category… 😳

The soundtrack of ‘Burlesque’ was released in late November 2010, so it counts for this year’s nominations.She had 2 Hot 100 entries, one of which is a multi-platinum No.1 smash for many weeks, so she was present throughout the time period from autumn 2010 to autumn 2011 and therefore she did deserve her nods 😉

Actually only person who should win in the R & B field is Chris Brown, He had two #1’s and 4 top 10’s in the R & B, but I agree he may not win because Beyonce is well liked amongst the mainstream fans, they will pick her because of her name. Chris Brown dominated the BET awards this year, but most of the mainstream award shows is based on fan base and Chris doesn’t have all of his mainstream fans back.
