From releasing the chart topping album ‘Loud‘, embarking on its supporting tour and announcing the release of new album ‘Talk That Talk’, it has been eventful to say the least.
Now, congratulations are in order for she and her ‘hit spotting’ team.
Yes. Her new song ‘We Found Love‘ is the highest selling single in the world this week. Moving over 400,000 copies.
All the details below…
Beating Maroon 5′s and Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Moves Like Jagger‘ to the top spot, ‘Love’ is the world’s #1 single selling 420,000 copies in the last week.
Evidently benefiting from the release of it’s well received supporting video, the single is also the UK #1 and expected to top the Billboard Hot 100 in the coming week.
On the album’s front, Adele‘s ‘21′ is #1 with a total of 255,000 units moved in the last seven days, it has now spent 26 weeks at the top of the chart. At #17 is Lady GaGa‘s ‘Born This Way‘ with 48,000 copies sold and #33 is Beyonce‘s ‘4′ with 31,000 units sold.
Congratulations to all, especially Rihanna.
Who knows? ‘Talk‘ may follow in ‘Love‘s footsteps and go to #1.
