Minutes ago, ‘Teenage Dreamer‘ Katy Perry took to the X Factor UK stage to perform her latest single ‘The One That Got Away‘.
Supported by her trusty guitar skills and one backing vocalist, the oft outspoken starlet delivered a surprisingly scaled back showing.

i feel like she is a point in her career where she came become a serious decent singer, singing powerful songs n be like a xtina in a way or be a bubble gum singer who gets the #1s but doesnt have the songs that are remebered 4ever. she has a few songs that will be remebered for a while (cali girl great summer song, teenage dream, i kissed a girl) but a lot of moment type songs. so i feel that she should go down the singer with deeper songs path n be taken moreseriously next go around with music. she isnt AWFUL at siing, not the best either, but she has to decide, hot it singles girl of the next few yrs and then katy who in 5 yrs or average song charters n be known as KATY yrs to come. im glad she is dressing more like her debut with the 50s pin up style than the crazy gaga copy cat

Have anybody seen her live in concert? She does her own music, but she’ll also sing other songs she likes by different artist. She did born this way (acapella), and dance with somebody (yeah the whitney joint)…Like the girl has some SERIOUS CHOPS ON HER. Despite all the pop songs she does and bubbly personality, she has a soulful voice inside her..and its something major.
Her dress on the picture is awful.

Her performances are often appaling, but this one was amazing.Not a flawless vocal performance, but she conveyed all the emotion that was needed, she looked relatable and comfortable and she actually looked like a serious person.I was impressed.
Now this is the Katy that I would personally like to see more often.This one or the pop-rock circa 2009 Katy, but DEFINETELY not the try-hard-to-be-a-popstar 2010-2011 Katy.HELL NO!
Great performance and TOTGA is amazing too, in my top 5 of her album.

for the first ten seconds i thought that i would dislike the song but i have to admit that it is really good and is one of my faves that she has released off the Teenage dream Lp and i can now take her more seriously for one i am hearing something different to the dance ish that out.

See, despite all the gimmicks and the bright colors, she has one important thing that other popstars except Lady GaGa do not have: MUSICIANSHIP.
She started out as a musician and if she fails as a popstar, she can always go back to being a musician singing and playing her guitar on night clubs and bars.
