Fans are undoubtedly itching for tastes of what R&B beauty Brandy is serving up on her next LP. Boasting contributions from Chris Brown, Bangladesh, Sean Garrett, and more, the ‘He Is’ hitmaker is steadily gaining buzz for the yet-titled project (due 2012).
And while no stranger to leak, a particular “Silent Night” – rumored to be included in the next album’s final set – has been making rounds on the net for weeks. Looks like the news just got to Brandy:

Thanksgiving may be coming soon, but doesn’t look like much “humble pie” will be on Ms. Norwood’s plate. For in a surprise response, the songstress took to Twitter to make more interesting remarks about the leak.

Much like rapper Drake, we have to applaud Brandy for taking the (almost inevitable at this point) leak in stride. For they do hold the potential to cause considerable damage on the record-sales tip – a damage that is irreparable for some. But, if one’s album is worthy of replay then a leak could actually work as a promo tool of sorts. Think of leaks as “recession proof radio”.
On the other hand, we still say kudos to Brandy for acknowledging the beastery that is “Silent Night”. Considered by many to be a “vocal Bible” of sorts, Ms. Norwood is certainly one of the few who can (playfully or seriously) boast about being “one of the baddest in the game”. This being in an arena where so many, unfortunately, think being able to sell a record or talk the talk equates support of such claim.
Maximum slayage accomplished. Listen to “Night” below:
