He wanted to sign me – it was when I first went to America as a songwriter. “I’m a very respectful person and I said I wanted to meet every label before deciding, but he was such a nice guy. It’s funny, I was so scared. “I’d only been in the USA for three days when I met him. But it’s great that The X Factor will have someone like him as a judge who’s actually been there and done it.”

There is no reason why L.A. Reid couldn’t even clap for Jessie J regardless of how powerful he is in the industry. Out of courtesy any artist they invite on stage should all receive some recognition whether it lacked perf. or not. It was foolish of him to show that kind of disrespect especially when it was a live performance and nevertheless anyone can have that kind of vocal range like Jessie J. If Willah Smith can get a standing ovation out of her performance (in which it sucked) than Jessie J should of got her ass kissed.
