According to the Hollywood Reporter , the one time A&R executive is in talks with Carey to sign on her as manager.

First introduced to each other when the ‘Idol’ judge was the Vice President of A&R at Columbia Records, where Mariah was signed to up until 2001, the alleged deal between the pair comes three years after the belter parted ways with Benny Medina in the midst of her ‘E=MC2′ campaign.
