Ummm I love Jessie and don’t deny her talent, but I was not here for the shrieking at the end…

She’s a very good sing but she has a tenancy to OVER sing a lot of the time for no reason

I was afraid of watching any other video X-factor related after watching Rihanna both in the uk and the USA one. It was that painful. But yeah Jessie is great. This is the best song on the album. But she needs to work on her next one and most of all better material

That’s what I call live and if Rihanna was able to do something on this level live it would make a whole lot of difference. It shows just how you folks who think Rihanna is talented are crazy… Jessis J! how long have I been saying Jessie J? That was live…

Solid but she didn’t knock it out the park by any means. Not a flawless performance and there were some mistakes tbh.Still, it was much better than most of her peers and chart rivals can even dream of accomplishing, but it wasn’t as breathtaking as you made it out to be.

This song is great, though, easily the best on the album alongside with ‘Casualty Of Love’ and ‘Mama Knows Best’.It used to give me chills (before she started wearing colorful wigs and acting like the British Katy Perry, because then it lost its meaning and therefore its magic),

Still wanted her to sing it abit smoother like the album version but her vocal prowess it there for all to see.
i like her uniqueness and quirky side also.

Haters keep Rihanna in their mouths for no reason.
    Anyway, Jessie J was great.

I agree with the majority of the comments. She has an AMAZING voice with the ability to do crazy vocal tricks and runs. But I think she has fallen into the trap of starting out singers with similar vocal ability and range ie. Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, she can’t just sing the song, she has to put runs on every single note and change pitches to show off her range. I suspect, and really hope, that as she in the game a bit longer, she will see that she doesn’t have to do all those flashy tricks with her voice. She can just sing the song. I mean, we all know Jessie can blow, she just needs to reign it in a bit so we can focus on the lyrics and her pure, powerful voice.

It must be hard for Jessie. She comes on to the show to sing her song and when she’s finished realised that her song was sung better by a contestant on the show.

Misha B’s live performance of this song in the sing off two weeks ago >>>>>>>>>>>> Jessie’s performance!

b**** has done better before singing the same track. not a good performance vocally.

Sounded overdone, bt I acyually think that was the point…I could be wrong, have to hear the original!! But she did a Jennifer Hudson outta nowhere hahahaha

although its been argued that the performance wasn’t vocally perfect it did not bother me at all but I have to agree with Sam. It’s the fact that behind all the smoke and mirrors of a pop performer she delivered something real, i.e. the emotion, and the realness of something she went through. As a viewer and a music lover I FELT that performance and believed everything she said. To the point that whilst I agree she’s talented her music is not something I would buy, I went and downloaded that song. Being an artist is not about being perfect and nor is she claiming to be and I personally like the gritty tone of her voice (including the vocal acrobats!). In fact that’s what I appreciate about some of my favourite artists/songwriters and what sets them apart from the same rnb/pop princess clones of today. Kudos to her.

Sorry guys but she was off key the whole song. I really like Jessie J, one of the best talented girl in the place right now but that performance was not good. She reminds me of Kelly Rowland on that point. They have the whole package, the voice, the tone, the power but they’re too often off key. (Jessie J is less off key than Kelly according to me)

this was just ok… waiting for Fantasia & Jazzy Sullivan to comeback for some REAL singing!!

  18. turveydel November 28, 2011

I find Jessie quite scary all that screaming and hollawing not really going no where

And her breath looks like it stinks really stinks

    just saying………….
