Watch: Kelly Rowland Talks Collabos & Complacency With PBTV

Published: Thursday 10th Nov 2011 by Rashad

Contrary to this snapshot’s implication, the last thing R&B diva Kelly Rowland has been doing is keeping quiet.  On quite the promotional promenade, the native Texan has traipsed many-an-outlet since reemerging on the UK scene following a recent illness. Similarly revisiting the X Factor UK judging panel with her brand of feist and fierceness, fans are seeing new sides of the ‘Down For Whatever’ diva.

Recently speaking with our friends over at PunchBowl blog, the songstress touched on a number of topics including the international release of her acclaimed ‘Here I Am’ album, being inspired by Beyonce and Michael Jackson, future collabs, and biting back at critics who claim she’s complacent in her current success status.

Needless to say, Miss ‘Lay It On Me’ laid it all out! See what we mean after the jump:

    (Meh.. I count 13-comments..)

“Fierce Kelly!” “You give me life, Kelly!” “(Kelly’s voice) like butter!”

The “Rowdog’s” bark is sure worse than its bite (when it can be heard): already 11-Weeks since “Here I am” (NOT) and she’s STILL-yet to move 200K units!

Kelly, you’d better ride that X-Factor ship till the very last: the Iceberg, BKA “Strictly Come Dancing”, has struck, and X-Factor is sinking, like fast..!!

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT..!!

TGJ know this interview was slamming and gave props by acknowledging and promoting onto this super popular blog/website.

Kelly gives the answers she feels honest about and thats a great thing.
Comes from a REAL place and she so well spoken & knows herself.
Glad she still learning and growing in her craft.

    Great Job

    @ANTERTAIN re: 8:59 am —

You’re a 30-something-year-old who was a member – though marginal in exposure due to your UBER-talented front-lady, and more to the point – your lacking in any discernible talents, of one of T-H-E best-selling Girl bands/groups of ALL TIME. As such, you’ve been in the game for now, some 2-decades.. I’d be sure that you’ve have, at least, a “working understanding” of how to conduct an interview, no?

..That said, so there’s no need for you, over there at the “black-gay (damaged)self-image-projection-upon female-celebrity mafia,” to launch into an all-out blog-media assault.. Not just yet. ..Maybe, between reruns of Oprah, and re-reads of Alice Walker, you’ll catch your breath and remember that, more times than not, you STILL must lift the toilet seat!

    X,Y,”and Z”…OUT..!!

WHOEVER DRESSES HER AS THE JUDGE ON THE SHOW NEEDS TO DRESS HER ON A DAILY CAUSE HOW SHE LOOKS ON MOST INTERVIEWS AND SHOWS IS HORRIBLE AND REDICULOUS…BUT ON THAT SHOW THE STYLIST IS KILLING IT:)

KUDDLES TO HER FOR TALKING ABOUT BOTH KINGS!! BET AND MJ

  19. GREG November 11, 2011
