X-Factor 2011: Eliminations (Week 7)

Published: Sunday 20th Nov 2011 by Sam

The X-Factor 2011 saw its 7th set of eliminations tonight. Find out who’s heading home this week…

{For those unfamiliar with The X Factor, the show is the UK’s version of American Idol – with a twist in that groups and over 25’s are eligible to enter. Now in it’s eighth season, the show is responsible for birthing the careers of Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, and JLS. Its US incarnation launched last month FOX}.

After registering the lowest public vote of the contestants, Craig Colton and Amelia Lily were two acts put on the chopping block.

The weekly sing-off proceeded with Craig up first, while Amelia sung Lady GaGa’s ‘You & I’.

In the end, it was Amelia who was granted a pass onto next week’s show, after the judges voting was tied leading to a deadlock. And with Craig garnering the lowest public votes, it was the Liverpudlian who was sent packing.

The X Factor continues on ITV1 next Saturday.

I felt sorry for craig. I hope he gets a record deal. The song wasn’t all that great and he did sing first.. maybe that went agaisnt him.

Im not quite sure why Janet is getting through…. Little mix to win!

Oh please… yall are fucktarded for real. Craig is #LAME!! He’s a fat kid with no s** appeal, good voice or not. That isn’t what sells records these days; it’s the overall image, branding, stage presence, likeability factor. He has none of those except ok vocals if you don’t have to look at him. I don’t see him gracing any covers or getting tweeners worked up wanting to eff him. He’s like the performers of the 30’s and 40’s – stand there and do nothing with the typical fat white boy look. Glad he’s gone. +1.

And none of yall would buy his record anyway… Point blank, period!!

@Judas666 u r spot on!!!!! So damn right.

I like craig, he got a really nice voice but question is, is he marketabke to the public audience” ? I love Amelia and feel like she will soar more than craig, besides she’s a young female and they will invest a lot into her!!!
