Lady GaGa: “I Know The Name Of My New Album”

Published: Wednesday 7th Dec 2011 by Sam

Lady GaGa may be in the thick of one album campaign, yet that hasn’t stopped the megastar from drumming up a buzz about its follow-up.

The Pop eccentric dropped insightful soundbites about the project, which she’ll no doubt be hoping replicates the multi-Platinum success of ‘Born This Way’.

Her comments after the jump…

Speaking to MTV News recently, the 25 year old said:

“I’ve started writing it and I have the name for it and all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place.

I’m excited to put it out, but it’s not done yet. So I’ll put it out when it’s done.”

When it is “done”, we can only hope it boasts better material than its predecessor. Because while we rode out this “era” with the Paw purveyor, it’d be silly to ignore how blatantly she ditched the Urban audience she amassed with ‘The Fame’ and ‘Fame Monster’ projects. Indeed, nowhere present was the hard-hitting Urban production, which served as the under-current to some of her biggest POP hits (see: ‘LoveGame’, ‘Telephone’, ‘Pokerface’, ‘Monster’).

We’re all for musical growth, however its important she always bares in mind the audience who were instrumental in allowing her to be the global force she is. Because, believe it or not, such elevated status isn’t a product of Pop audience alone.

Your thoughts?

not that i care but.. is she ever gonna do this ‘born this way’ ball she also keeps banging on about?? nothing about dates or tickets has been mentioned, and she’s already talking of a new album? #mess

  2. Robot December 7, 2011

I love all the songs on The Fame/Monster but on Born This Way I only like 6 or 7 songs. Hopefully on her next album she does more easy listening and fun popsongs but still with a message.

  3. gdboyratedloud December 7, 2011

urban production??????????? none of those songs u named have urban production. Its all dance b****.

  4. LaLa December 7, 2011

No need to rush Gaga, save that to yourself & surprise us later. Please please do not hype your next album for your sake. Premature Birth is not good. Stay Focus Gaga.

  5. Sleazy December 7, 2011

is it gonna be Called “GAY” (no shade to the gay community) but if ths next album is gonna be another Gay filled album with recycled production Count me out ! The Fame was heaven Rnb pop heaven nd the fame monster was Just Amazin I still can’t believe “So Happy I could die” didn’t get a video *looks at gaga and gives her dissaproving neck *

  6. NAYAH82 December 7, 2011

I love gaga…But i didn’t enjoy BTW as much as the other albums. I hope she doesn’t start putting out albums every year, cuz that would be a little much.

  7. Those That Cannot Do, Stan December 7, 2011

Everytime I hear that there’s a new Gaga single out from her current album I brace myself…and she never fails to disappoint with how bad it is. Smh, such is the case with the new Marry The Night. Nearly every song is an 80’s song 30 years too late. I dunno…Gaga completely ditched her original flavor to make music that would be played in gay clubs on repeat.

I think she should probably consider what type of music and artist she wants to make and be because she’s completely edging out of the mainstream now. She wont be able to pull an Amazon deal with her next album so I really wish she’d return to the style that made people love her music because she’s slipping hard right now.

  8. Flopga December 7, 2011

Will this cheap clone sit down somewhere? I can admit Born This Way (the album) is very good. I guess.

She needs to take time between album releases, she can afford it. I don’t want her becoming a desperate w**** flop like Rihanna who has to release a new album every 2 weeks in order to stay relevant.

  9. Steffon December 7, 2011

    who cares

  10. Bey Fan… December 7, 2011

    cool…..

  11. MISHKA December 7, 2011

    I wish I would care but I don’t.

    Like for real.

  12. laos December 7, 2011

this b**** is so played out! and newsflash she
gets no love in the hood! she has no urban audience!!! none!!! we should all know this! now rihanna has crossover appeal, she has those good pop dance hits for a more mainstream audience and then she can switch it up and do an r&b,hip-pop song. rihanna transcends genres, gagas strictly pop and frankly rihanna does pop better, and as for beyonce, shes to ‘ghetto’, she has had big hits, but shes more urban than pop. but when it comes to performing beyonce dances circles around every girl in the industry, thats why in my opinion rihanna and beyonce are the baddest b****** in the music industry! arguably the sexiest pop stars as well!

  13. Kingphoenix December 7, 2011

I think this era would have been better if she released more a variety with her singles like Bloody Mary or Fashion of His love or Even Government Hooker, which may have opened up to a wider audience because they are not so Euro-Trashy, and music everyone could have enjoyed. This era was really just as sloppy as people claim 4 to be. The promotion was the only thing the saved it; because with them lame as videos, lacking single choices and uninspired gimmicky live performances Born This Way was not what I expected from the newly crowned “Queen of Pop.” But that is the past and I am looking forward to the future, she just needs to let her juices marinate and not try to “strike while the iron is hot” b/c it will undo her in the end.

  14. JoArmy December 7, 2011

Actually this b**** plans to do a 450 date world tour for two years while doing an album. This is what I heard. Is this girl meeental or just wannabe unhealthy.

  15. Mariah4Life December 7, 2011

I couldn’t care less. Go away Gaga, the world is tired of you.

  16. Bey’knight December 7, 2011

Yess! For someone else lovin so happy i could die. I thought i was alone. I even prefer it to dance in the dark. Im not really big on Gaga’s ballads tbh

She’s following same promo formula she used with BTW it all starts with a hype; make an album title seem like a bigger deal than it is. Im happy to watch Gaga do her as long as she gives me palatable music, im cool BTW was jus too overproduced,

    @laos
Pls rihanna has no urban appeal (anymore) she dint crossover, she jumped borders. That explains her dismal sales in US. her white audience only care for them singles. When was the last time Rih had a top 10 on urban radio? What happened raining men, man down? Tsk

  17. @TEAMFOXYDONDIVA December 7, 2011

    @gdboyratedloud

Yeah its dance b**** but its from urban producers you cocksucking nemrod!!!

  18. THE REAL TYLER* December 7, 2011

    I LOVE GAGA

    BUT NOT THIS ERA….

THE ONLY SONGS I LIKED ON THE ABLUM WAS

    BORN THIS WAY
    JUDAS
    MARRY THE NIGHT
    SCHIEBE

    SHE NEEDS ANOTHER FAME MONSTER

THE FAME MONSTER ALBUM WAS THE S***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EVERY SONG ON THERE WAS PURE GREATNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    IT WAS GENIOUS!!!!

AND SHE NEEDS TO GO BACK TO THE FASHION OF BAD ROMANCE/ PAPPARAZZI/ ALEJANDRO

AND I WOULD LIKE HER TO PUT MORE SLOW SONGS ON THE ALBUM THIS TIME LIKE SPEECHLESS AND YOU & I

I JUST NEED “THE FAME MONSTER PART II”

  19. DMWN December 7, 2011

I can’t take anyone named “Lady Gaga” seriously. I would be embarrassed to buy her CD. Not that I’d want to anyway, because her music stinks. It’s time for the world to move on from this silly and overexposed cartoon character.

  20. JohnVidal December 7, 2011

    Born this Way>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Fame
So much that it´s not even funny.
And it shows in the grammy nominations, cos even though The Fame had a little more succes they still wanted it to fight for Album of the Year. The Fame is too easy (that´s why many people prefer it). Born this way production is incredible, vocals are so superior to The Fame and it had lots of different type of songs
“21” and “Born this way” = albums of the year. Something I would never have said about the Fame in its year (2009 or 2008 or whatever)

  21. CUNTINA PIGUILERA December 7, 2011

Excuse me darling but the “urban” audience didn’t help her one lick, it was mostly the gays!!! Dance-pop wasn’t majorly popular in the USA before Gaga, but after she came out even the rappers are doing dance music!!! So don’t get it twisted. And “Born this way” as an album is 10 times better than “The fame”.

  22. skintightjeans December 7, 2011

    I’m burnt out on her!

  23. laos December 7, 2011

whats my name?, hard, talk that talk, cockiness, birthdaycake, do ya thang, watch n learn, man down and rude boy.<<<great examples of urban rihanna!!

    Caca = FLOP T*****

    @LAOS H** HUSH!

BLEACHanna released FLOP THAT FLOP and it was supposed to be “urban”. BLEACHanna cant sit down because she is a GIMMICK like T***** Caca. 😉

  27. I’ma have to send her to her maker December 7, 2011

I’ll be checking for it. Born this way was okay but I’m expecting something epic next time like she did on the Fame.

  28. LIGHT ME UP PUT ME ON TOP LET’S FALALALALA LA LALALA December 7, 2011

I already stated my opinion on this on ATRL…..

    anyway,

NOT here for people trying to undermine Gaga’s versatility….

Gaga had some urban influences (I.E. Starstruck,Paper Gansta) and light pop influences (Eh Eh,Summerboy)

She also has a few songs that were inspired by Glam Rock (Speechless,You and I) and New Wave (Dance in the Dark).Let’s not forget about the JAZZ performances that Gaga has done.

Her music is NOT only just “Dance pop” like everything y’all talk about, however this era ,she traded in those light pop elements with darker rock elements, dripped some of the songs with messages, making her album darker, and more political….

    that being said,
here’s something for all the people who liked “The Fame”
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkhuyYqItiI&feature=fvsr

  29. Sleazy December 7, 2011

@Laos yes rihanna has Urban song But she does not capitalize on it She release most of her Dance pop song No1 is checking for urban rihanna anyway ! Rihanna is a Pop artist

  30. pop royalty ( RUDE BOY) December 7, 2011

    ok !

can’t wait to hear it !

hope it is better than her previous album(s) !!

    commercial-wise :

THE FAME > TFM > BTW

    artistically-wise :

BTW > TF > TFM TF > BTW

    singles-wise :

    POKER FACE > BTW > BAD ROMANCE > PAPARAZZI > ALEJANRO > TELEPHONE > JUST DANCE > LOVEGAME > JUDAS > MARRY THE NIGHT > YOU & I > EOG> BEAUTIFUL DIRY RICH > EH EH ( NOTHING ELSE I CAN SAY)

    videos-wise :

BAD ROMANCE > POKER FACE > PAPARAZZI > JUDAS > TELEPHONE > MARRY THE NIGHT > YOU & I > LOVEGAME > JUST DANCE > ALEJANDRO > BTW > BDR > EOG > EH EH (NOTHING ELSE I CAN SAY)

and that’s ME and GAGA 😉

  31. Gia December 7, 2011

    I can’t wait.

  32. YOOSONDALOOSE December 7, 2011

    Ohhhh Glad!
Born This Way Era is dying out now.
New Music will be a fresh start 😀

  33. Yellow Gorillah December 7, 2011

Thank jesus born this way was a mess I need another fame!

and no rihanna has cross over appeal.

she get’s nominated for Pop and RNB Awards. AND What’s My Name, Rude Boy, Talk That Talk, Cockiness, Man Down I can go on she knows how to balance her genres she always does a POP song first then she does a urban friendly song after You Da One,

Is it true she is really doing a 450 date TOUR???? Looooooooool This b**** want’s to DIE. She crazy?? I swear she was FAINTING While doing the monster ball?? or does she just want to beat Madonna’s records Hmmm

  34. dang December 7, 2011

F*** this blog… Born This Way is an amazing album… the best this year…. it is not perfect but the songs on there that I do love are f****** amazing. BTW The Fame is a lame generic album. I don’t want that style back.

  35. ana December 7, 2011

This blog may suck, but i can tell you that in BTW each song has its worth

  36. Kings December 7, 2011

Couldnt agree more I think that’s y most of the singles haven’t done that well. She hasn’t had ONE No1 single off BTW here in the UK, much much much preft the edge of ‘just dance’ ‘lovegame’ & ‘poker face’. Gaga went way too arty this yr. I do think Scheize would do well tho…

  37. Terrence December 7, 2011

I Bet Its Flop This Way

  38. Miguel December 7, 2011

I only listen to select Lady Gaga songs once in a while, but I disagree that the next album would have to be “better” like “The Fame” . I think “Born This Way” proved her as a BRILLIANT artist

  39. MW December 7, 2011

Yes let’s hope for fame part 3. Im gay but HATE born this way and her paws and bad acting. Prefer the old times when it was less serious and her interviews where like she was high. “I get my inspiration for my music from gay pornography”. Hope she comes back proper

  40. JER December 7, 2011

How was Lady Gaga ever Urban? She never garnered Urban Airplay. She’s always been dance, pop, and electronic. Just because a song has a hard BEAT does not mean it’s Urban. The final say is that Lady Gaga never catered to Urban audiences. Even with Akon putting a feature on “Just Dance” at the last minute didn’t do anything. Fans still listen to the ORIGINAL version that came out in mid 2008.

I normally don’t say this, but I want Gaga to go back to “The Fame” era. Everything was fun, loving, lighter, and cool. I haven’t played out “Born This Way” like I did the other two, I’ve probably listened to the album a couple of times. Hopefully this album would be a little more heavy bass (i.e “Starstruck” and “Telephone”).

The same thing that happened to ALL of “King” Bey’s singles……U shouldn’t have to ask that question cuz now it should be familiar…..

  44. gaagloo! December 7, 2011

F*** you Sam “Born This way” is a masterpiece OOk!!! That showed Gaga is more than popstard, she’s a marvelous artist!

    Agreed with @Rude Boy,
    “commercial-wise :

THE FAME > TFM > BTW

    artistically-wise :

    BTW > TF > TFM ”

And for those who always hate on Gaga and say she not versatile, go listen to “The Fame Kingdom” and you’ll hear many genre ( I.E disco, urbain, ballades, acoustic, electropop…) I bet you never listen to “teeth” you damn haters!

  45. Lady Gaga The Supreme Incarnate Of Pop December 7, 2011

That is why I am hoping it is her retun to hit-making form. We got the message of Born Ths Way Gaga. Love you gurl.

Now bring on them massive hits. 🙂

    PAWS UP M************!!!! (“)(“)

  46. CUNTINA PIGUILERA December 7, 2011

BTW album wasn’t made for double-digit-IQ people
That’s why it has had less commercial success than “The Fame”

    That’s all.

  47. bullsh*t December 7, 2011

All these fake-a$$, manufactured artists who are rushing to release 5 albums per year do so because they know they are very disposable and lame. They themselves know how much they stink. So they try to milk their sh*tty sh*t as much as possible, before their time is up.

Nicki, Rihanna, Lady Germ, Katy, etc : overrated and overexposed trolls and clowns.

  50. no e-mails here you mad? don’t need names or e-mails, you very mad?? December 7, 2011

Lady Caca and her team/Interscope used Christina Aguilera’s name in PAID ADVERTISEMENTS, back in late 2008 (when 99.9% of people didn’t know of Lady Caca’s existence) to promote herself and her wack debut album “The Fame”.

This is a fact of life that happened on the Internet VERY SHORTLY after Christina Aguilera’s 2008 VMA performance of “Keeps Getting Better”.

To all the angry Lady caca fans out there, this is how I had discovered Lady Caca!

So my point is this : Lady Caca is basically a f*cking troll, a desperate piece of sh*t and a f*cking bully! Her and Interscope!
Her lame fraudulent @ss and her deformed fans can stay mad at the facts!!!

You can proceed to call me pressed or unpressed or whatever pressedness comment you have to make. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me being supposedly pressed doesn’t change the fact that Lady Caca’s persona, her music and everything about her lunatic ways f*cking stinks.

  51. no e-mails,,,,, you mad? don’t need names or e-mails. lolz December 7, 2011

Lady GRgagagagaggooo gooo gagaga is an extremely manufactured clown and desperate wannabe who probably told Interscope that she will do absolutely anything to be famous!

She is a manufactured troll, clown, plagiarist, opportunist wacko and 99-cent joke.

99 cents is too much for “Born This Wack”. If I was Lady Caca, I would force Amazon to sell make “art-is-a-lie” bullshiate of an album for only 1 little cent, instead of 99.

The album is actually only worth 1 cent!!!

    A fraud.

  52. JoJo December 7, 2011

The onlly album i will ever love is THE FAME i hate BTW .hopefully she goes back to that feeling

  53. lady caca crotte merde shiate December 7, 2011

Christina Aguilera supposedly copied Lady Caca in 2008, because of simply little bangs!!!!!!!! (Which Christina had used before. Remember the 2006 video for “Ain’t No Other Man”???) . Therefore, Christina is accused of copying Lady caca, by the media.

Lady Caca actually copies Christina Aguilera Hundreds upon hundreds of times. Nobody bats an eye.

It’s so absolutely laughable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People are d@mn trolls and clowns!!!!!!!!!!

Fake-@ss media full of freaking huge clowns, everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s so messy.

  54. D December 7, 2011

I respect the artistry of BTW although i dont own a copy of the album.I just didnt like the music this time around. I love the videos though. I prefer The Fame over BTW! That’s the Gaga i fell in love with!
