In what will come as a surprise to any fans of X Factor USA, today the show’s host Steve Jones officially announce his departure from the show, after just one season.
Without further delay, get into his statement below…
Announcing the news on Twitter, he confessed:
I won’t be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.
This, following a report by ITN that the Welsh star would be axed from the show, after failing to captivate US audiences.

Saw this coming a mile off. It’s a shame, it’s not that bad. But because of his accent he had to concentrate on announcing every frigging syllable! It made him sound so wooden. Oh well! Stick to the UK Steve! I would love to see Mariah Carey presenting it!
Thank goodness! He was by far the worst part of the show. I watched the YouTube videos instead of the live show to skip through his awkwardness.
This dude was a horrible host on x factor USA. I can’t count how many times I cringed at how bad his hosting skills were. Lol. I wish him the best of luck in Europe though.

He is handsome but he was too uptight. They need someone who can let loose from time to time.

I am not surprised because he was not good on the show. I’m glad he is not coming back because he was so stiff & boring. This guy has no personality.
They should get Damion & Vanessa from the former TRL show. They were both good on MTV ….. especially Damion.
I saw this coming when the show aired.He was boring, Dry, and didn’t connect with the judges or the audience. Give it to Nick Cannon.
This news isn’t shocking honestly. I’m not one of those people who come online and be negative but like I said on the XFACTOR USA Vids on Youtube. He came across as totally obnoxious; usually cutting across the judges and hushing the crowd. I know he had to do his job but he could’ve done it in a better manner. As he was not too bad when he hosted ITV’s a Night With Beyonce. Anyways, Here’s to his continued success in the future.

He was horrible and the peoples opinion was heard! He sucked, terrible host. Funny to think Simon had intially said something like this about him, “He’s tall, dark, handsom, everything oppisite of Ryan [Seacrest]”
Yeah cause Ryan,even if you think he was a terrible host in the past, he has become a pretty decent-good host!

YES! ! ! I LOVED Damien Fahey he was the best TRL host, prob even better than Carson Daly! And Vanessa Minillo (who now introcudes herself as Jessica Lachey -which I hate! ! !) was their best female host! ! !

@thatgrapejuice yeah this was no surprise to anyone in the United States. Lol The dude was just too stiff and at times seemed very rude to the judges and even the contestants. I hated how he used to cut off the judges….
