Many moons have passed since Kelly Rowland and Lance Gross cosied up on the set of the video for ‘Keep It Between Us’. Indeed, so long has it been since the French shoot, many believed it wouldn’t see the light of day – especially when paired with news of Rowland recording her new album.
Fret not, though, for the ‘Motivation‘ singer has not only confirmed the video’s release window, she has also explained the reason for the delay.

Speaking to OMKelly today, the 30 year old revealed that the clip will finally arrive next week.
Of the hold up, she cited technical and shipping complications in France; with all kinks now ironed out.
And while the sensual cut is lifted from her latest effort, ‘Here I Am’, it’s release (as a promotional track) hasn’t impacted the recording of its follow-up. Indeed, Rowland recently relocated to Los Angeles to amp up production on the as yet untitled project.

I’m excited for her, but I also feel bad. Its like her label only promotes her oversees. As far as songs that are on the album: Europe got four singles: top ten hits “Commander” and “Down For Whatever”, while “Forever and a Day” (which is on the UK album) reached the top fifty. “Lay It On Me” will be released as the fourt hsingle next month.
But it seems like her label cant get it together in the US, Her album should have been promoted more, especially after “Motivation” reached the top twenty. Second single “Lay It On Me” was never performed or released to pop radio and it flopped. Hopefully her next album will have a brighter start and ending.
Also, the real reason the video was pushed back is because “Keep It Between Us” was supposed to be the third US single, but its release was cancelled due to low album sales. (Here I Am is at like 180k). But Kelly still wanted fans to see it, so she’s premeiering it. Its like how Ciara’s “That’s Right” was cancelled after The Eveolution had fallen on US 200 before its planned release, but she still wanted fans to see the video

I totally agree with the comments above. Her project should have been promoted better especially after the success of Motivation. She had numerous potential hits. Nonetheless, her record company slept on promoting quickley the proper next single. I’m Dat Chick or Feelin Me Right Now would have given this cd legs.

I’m very excited and ‘Here I Am’ has so far sold 215,000 copies in the US. After the video and official release of ‘Keep It Between Us’ will take charge next week, album sales should increase. ‘Here I Am’ already went from #62 to #40 last week.
And after a sales boost from ‘Keep It Between Us’, the video for ‘Feelin’ Me Right Now’ is coming straight afterwards so another boost of sales for ‘Here I Am’.
After the project finishes its run, ‘Here I Am’ will sell roughly 300-320,000 copies by the end of the year.

Here I Am is no where on the Billboard 200 in the US and hasn’t even sold 200k in the US yet.
I don’t believe KIBU will boost album sales. She should’ve released Heaven and Earth for the ballad and remixed I’m Dat Chick and released it in the US.

Wikipeadia’s 178,000 copies sold was last updated in October.

She should have released that as a single and performed it everywhere because it sells her good voice. Motivation was a Top20 hit. Some of y’all fans be acting like motivation was Top10 or Top 5 on BB100 or hell #1 on BB100. If any kelly rowland fan calls any stan base a flop they need to be killed. I’m sorry Kelly has flopped so hard that I’d be scared to be a fan. It would feel like her failure would rub off on me.
It doesn’t matter if Kelly has “flopped” your own opinion or standard or statistics. A fan is a fan and they support their faves no matter what!
