This is somewhat impressive. It’s no question that Rihanna’s a very strong singles’ artist. Still, let’s not forget that she’s used a few tactics in the past (slashing prices, discounts) to her advantage. How do you think that Only Girl went to #1. That along with the fact that she’s released new music every year (and has atleast 4 albums/eras, released during the peak of the digital age) to benefit her. One thing that’s common for artist like Rihanna (that don’t boast big album sells, but have single success with their 3,4th and 5th singles) is that they have several #1’s from these albums, but finish their era’s with 1.5 to 2million in the U.S. It’s still a job well done, but I like putting things into perspective. I’m sure if Rihanna had a choice between selling singles and albums, she’d choose the latter.

wether or not battleship makes a big profit doesnt do anything for riri she already got paid for being in it. this is how the movie world goes the actors will be paid up front to star in the movie the producer pays them as well as the cost of the movie when the movie is released the money goes straight to the producers pocket also the studios that helped fund the project.
for example twilight grossed over 250 million last year yet the two main actors only got paid 20 million each that was before the movie came out. after the movies are complete they are sole property of the studio and or producers. the only exceptions are for television shows!

I do not like her so much. When she first came out I did, but she has gotten more and more strange. I think arrogance makes a lot of people who become famous much less appealing.
