  4. Dev February 21, 2012

    The Brits are predictable and James Cordon is a rubbish host. This award show means nothing….

  5. xoxo February 21, 2012

    one direction won when jessie j, ed sheeran and adele were nominated? pathetic. anyways congratulations Adele and Ed Sheeran.

  6. nicoyuki February 21, 2012

    So you Brits don’t like one direction. That funny, people post their s*** all over tumblr and s***. I hate seeing them on every tumblr I go to

    Can somebody tell me if Brits go more for the popularity or for the quality (like the grammys, well you know what I mean)??? Cos they are truly a joke. Adele winning is great, but Rihanna and all those… just who is most popular and the uK and that´s it
    Grammys keep on being the only awards I have respect for

    The Grammys have give awards to a lots people who didn’t deserve, they claim is about talent but is not, take a look to Diana Ross and Taylor Swift case, the difference is light years between the two.

    Go Adele & Bruno

  11. KatyCat February 21, 2012

    Jessie J is the drag queen version of Katy Perry, she deserves no awards. But the Brits are about as irrelevant as the AMAs

  12. Songscribe February 21, 2012

    Go riri. Best international female artist. Congratulations!!!

  13. Saetana February 22, 2012

    The BRITS is as big a joke as any other award show, frankly I can’t think of any of the big award shows that are not either populist (most have at least some public voting categories) or, the reverse, musical snobs. Congratulations to Rihanna, I was hoping Gaga would win but I have a sneaking suspicion that Rihanna performing swung the pendulum in her direction, she did have a great year last year though. Lana Del Ray for International Breakthrough? Oh please. Same goes for One Direction and why didn’t Jessie J win anything? I am not a fan of Adele but to lose out for best single to One Direction is a travesty! I can’t stand Ed Sheeran either, middle of the road guitar strumming pap. Glad I didn’t bother to watch this year as it would have been a major disappointment. Glad Rihanna won International Female as my husband watched a bit of it and said it was Lana Del Ray – her winning International Breakthrough is bad enough, that horrible monotonous drone of hers is not worthy of an award.

    @NICOYUKI

    One Direction’s fans are largely young girls, most of us think they are the epitome of pop pap.

    Rihanna should not have won best international female, GaGa or Beyonce should have and by a long way, the only reason ri won is because she was the only “international” female to show up to the awards…the only awards that mean anything are the grammys and even they are losing there credibility.

  16. Steve February 22, 2012

    Glad Ed Sheeran is getting some shine, amazing singer/songwriter

    Interesting but not unexpected given the choices. Glad Bruno Mars finally won something! I’m tired of him being neglected in favor of Adele! He CD slayed as well even if it didn’t sell as much!

    I’m sick of Adele and @SAM/TGJ why didn’t you post ADELE’S 60 MINUTES interview with Anderson “lowlife” Copper in which she suggested that women that dress like BEYONCE & RIHANNA ARE WHORES?

  18. Saetana February 22, 2012

    @MOBWIFE

    You can add Gaga to that list, but at least she isn’t as foul-mouthed as Adele who looks oh so classy – until she opens her big mouth. Sneering at other stars, even though she doesn’t always name names we all know who she is talking about (Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna) when she starts going on about how she would never dress like that. I always think, well, you don’t have that option do you? I personally don’t care much about her size but its a bit rich her talking about skimpy costumes when she is obese and a heavy smoker – at least skimpy clothes aren’t damaging anyone’s health. What a great role model she is ;o)

    I tend to agree but I’m curious as to why you believe the Grammys are losing their “credibility”?

  20. mobwife February 22, 2012

    @Saetana

    YES! I use to like Adele but afer watcjing a few of her interviews, I realize that she a JEALOUS FOUL MOUTH POTBELLY P**! Because she is a media darlin’ she seems to be able to say whatever she wants. Also add Katy Perry to her “WOMEN THAT DRESS LIKE WHORES TO SELL MUSIC” list! She has some nerve as if she had an option? Adele never has looked classy to me. She always looks drab and SLOPPY. She has made some songs that I have enjoyed, mainly because her music is all you get to hear in this heavily controlled and biased music industry. However, JILL SCOTT, KELLY PRICE or LEDISI (sp?) could sing Adele into a COMA! #imjustsaying 🙂

  21. Saetana February 22, 2012

    @MOBWIFE

    I forgot about Katy, lol, I wonder how well Adele will do with her next album as apparently the operation has definitely changed her voice – I just listened to her singing live at the Albert Hall before the surgery and her singing is toned down quite a bit with her Grammys and Brits performances. Then again, maybe she will finally write some cheerful music now she is in a relationship again. I think I’ll stick to the “pop tarts” personally ;o)

  22. mobwife February 22, 2012

    @Saetana

    LOL, her music in total is very depressing. If you try to listen to the entire CD at one time it will make you want to slit both wrists. She’s the white version of MJB! 🙂 I understand feeling a certian way after a break-up but damn! Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black was based on her relationship with her ex-husband but it offered a great deal more diversity IMO!

    I too noticed her voice was not that sound on the Grammy’s. Of course because she is the media’s darling no one will say a word. No they just smile, clap and pretend as if her voice has not changed.
