An outpour of grief and mourn continues to grip the industry as friends and fans of late Pop icon Whitney Houston share their condolences. And, much like many-a-young R&B songstress, Fantasia regularly cited Miss Houston as an influence for her own offerings.
Also like Houston, Barrino found her base in the church. Such base undoubtedly helped shape Houston’s sound, style, and influence across multiple genres – unmistakably found (and referenced) in many of both singers’ recordings and live showings.
Now, at a recent stop in Chicago, Fantasia was found giving a tearful testimony in honor of the fallen singer. Hear her thoughts below:

Um glad she said this ish cause she’s been one of those Artist that been talked about and degraded by the public and media alike i remember sum months back people talked alot of mess. And then she wanted to commit s****** because of all this suff like Whitney, Micheal, and whomever is under scrutiny died called names by people in the media and thsoe theat bought into the hype. There is a lot of lessons to take from these tragedies cuz these people are human outside of thsoe characters the media tries to make them out to be ( Good or Bad) People really need to think about what they say and how they treat people for example Latavia frm Destinys Child joined twitter and ppl startd they mess esps the Bey fans Ttalking bout her and thats not right. Wow I loved this and I am so proud of fantasia for this. I loved how she took a shot at media and nancy grace. I loved the wisdom and power of word and I also love the song even angel. Fantasia is a real artist and should have more success

I wish people would realize that Fantasia is just as annotied as well! She is being scrutized publicly because she is representin Jesus… Instead they embellish, and make up stories, and tarnish this girls name like she is a terriost, or murder, or have harmed children or something.. I will never understand why somebody who only wants to sing and be herself has to go through some much! ITs F***** mind boggling… But this makes perfect sense..Everyone knows that evil lurks in AND out of the music industry and they are after her annotiance!
