With over 2 million copies sold worldwide, multiple Grammy nominations and a plethora of top ten singles, Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday‘ is undoubtedly one of Pop’s more groundbreaking debuts.
So in honor of the LP, the hit show Glee are to tribute its material in an upcoming episode, two months before she releases its follow up, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’.

On February 21st, the cast of Glee will perform ‘Fly‘, Minaj’s duet with fellow Pop belle Rihanna which peaked at #19 on Billboard Hot 100.
This will mark the first time the show has honored a female Rapper, and will follow her appearance on Good Morning America this week and her ‘religious’ Grammy 2012 performance this Sunday.

I’m a long time fan of Glee and them doing her song is NOT a “Tribute” if that’s the case they’ve paid tribute to a ton of others as wells.
They do have tribute shows ie. Madonna, Britney Spears, MJ however Nicki ain’t one of them lol
I’ll wait to see the context of the show and how they use it.
