Must See: LeToya Luckett – ‘Life, Love & Music (Episode 1)’

Published: Wednesday 1st Feb 2012 by David

LeToya Luckett is back!

Indeed, following the #1 album that was her self titled debut effort and its 2009 follow up, Ms. Luckett is readying her third solo LP, documenting the experience by way of an online series.

Now peep episode 1 of her, ‘Live, Love & Music’, the first chapter of the star’s new story, below…

As interesting as this was, we hope episode 2 focuses more on the LP’s creative process and see Luckett showcase the vocals so many foolishly overlook.

Because, as fun as this was to watch, it would have been better served if more airtime was given to studio time and business meetings and not poolside parties,to give fans a real insight into the project’s progression.

Be sure to catch Episode 2 of ‘Life, Love & Music’ when it airs next week.

She’s too low class for my musical tastes but you continue to enjoy her while she lasts.

It’s called love, life and music. Not studio, promo, studio.
I’m guessing the aim is to see what her life consists of. For me she was the best looking in destinys child and had a good voice (better than beyonce’s now as she screeches too much)
    Latoya, keep doing yo thang.
I hate people talking about class from the council estates.

Now THIS Latoya chick has that certain, hard to define, can’t-be-taught-can’t-be-bought…”IT Factor”..!! I had no idea she was as tall – which’ll work for her when she’s onstage.

..And it’s her being in possession of that the very rare God-given quality why Matthew Knowles had to get rid of her: too much comp for Beyonce and that ‘DC limelight’. There was only room for one “star”, and that final iteration of DC was what we’re now all familiar with. So what remains is his daughter/”golden” child dancing and singing around those two remaining human-sized card-board cut-outs also known as: “Unlucky Shelly” and “Gimmick Girl Kelly”!!

Is Matthew Knowles a sneaky, shiftless, duplicitous, greasy, fast-talking b******? YES! ABSOLUTELY..!! But, love or hate him, Matthew Knowles KNEW exactly what he was doing. And the success of DC stands as testament!

But what’s also most certain is that this Latoya WILL be big. No gimmicks asked for; none needed..!!

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT..!!

I actually LOVED this!! Very nice LeToya!

Yes this girl been underground recently.
Glad to hear some vocals at the start.
Think its great she doing other avenues ans keeping up her business to make that money.

The coach woman was bringing the realness and that will inspire that extra ooze from Letoya like we got in “I Need A U”

Her vocal growth has been great and want that to show in live performances as well.

Always down for LeToya because amongst the adversity she kept going and kept the hustle on.

Can’t wait to see more studio sessions

what network does this show come on

  22. College Girl February 1, 2012

No network its what they call a “webisode” so its just online

  23. twm February 1, 2012

U can find it on youtube

  24. tam February 2, 2012

This b**** is too damn ghetto! When she’s talking in interviews she seems very classy, reserved, and ladylike, but she’s too goofy and stank! It makes her so ugly, plus she’s bony as hell with no ass! I find it funny how people are so quick to call Kelly Rowland a flop when this b****”s last album didn’t even sell 100,000 copies. The “platinum” album she had before only sold 500,000 copies and Capitol Records was kind enough to ship out the rest of the units so it reached 1 million copies, since she actually was able to “make it” out of Destiny’s Child.

    @Tam re; 12:50 am —

“quick to call Kelly Rowland a flop”

Tam, the 30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland was given weekly access to some “12-15 Million WELL-motivated discretionary spending X-Factor U.K./European viewers” when she was then a sitting judge/mentor of talent; yet still SHE failed to move 300K World Wide! (If you can furnish an industry link to disprove that figure, I’d welcome it). Let’s also NOT forget she was prominently placed and was then seen on one of summer 2011’s most talked about tours: Chris Brown’s U.S. ‘F.A.M.E Tour’. And what had your fave then done with THAT – yet another golden, heaven sent, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Well, less-than 200K U.S. retail units of ‘Here I am’ moved: another FAIL in a long list of FAILURES by your fave!

*sigh* Tam, never before, in Humanity’s well-documented slog upon planet earth, was there witnessed an AS well-defined example of failure, desperation, denial and spin, as we’re now witnessing regarding YOUR fave – the 30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland.

    X,Y,”and Z” — OUT..!!

Let’s face it ms. Luckett’s got talent. Matthew Knowles was a genius Kelly Rowland’s and Michelle didn’t have no. 1 album potential but fact Letoya does. She has that voice that digs into your soul she was to much competition for bey if she would have stayed in the game after DC Letoya would be direct competition with bey. Mr. Knowles is a shark. But Letoya’s still got those skills.
