‘You Da One’ yodeler Rihanna has found herself yet again attempting to sell (and sail) the sinking ship that is ‘Talk That Talk’. In another bid to keep sales of the critically ashamed project afloat, the ‘BattleShip’ starlet is looking to make a splash by gifting a full version of a fan favorite from the collection – ‘Birthday Cake’.
Arguably one of the album’s better offerings, Riri was quizzed in December about when listeners should expect a full version of the sexy tune to which she replied:

Now, nearly two months later, (if sources prove correct) that wish may finally be coming true:
The Dream and Da Internz, the craftsmen behind the bumping tune, were similarly quizzed by fans about when they could expect a full listen. Taking to Twitter hours ago, Da Internz replied:
Maybe manifestation of the initial promise was slowed due to the megahit that is ‘We Found Love’s’ performance on charts. But, as the song’s successor ‘You Da One’ wasn’t exactly ‘the one’ Riri needed to keep interest in ‘Talk’, perhaps a combo of the recently appointed third single (the Jay-Z assisted title track) and a February release of ‘Cake’ will be just the treat radio has been waiting on.
With those daring lyrics however, it wouldn’t surprise us – given the song is eventually granted single status – if we were in for another ‘S&M’ – esque video. No date has been confirmed yet Rihanna’s birthday, February 20, is widely speculated as the release date.
