She may be a self proclaimed ‘Bad Girl‘, but last night saw Brit sensation MIA pull a stunt that even she might be regretting today.
Because during her appearance on Madonna‘s Superbowl 2012 set, the Rapper threw up her middle finger, much to the horror of some viewers who have spent the last few hours airing out their complaints.
Thus, forcing NBC and the NFL to apologize.
Their statements below…
On the gesture, the NFL explained:
There was a failure in NBC’s delay system. The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans.
Followed by NBC, countering with:
It was a spontaneous gesture that our delay system caught late.
Set to overshadow Madonna’s lack luster lengthy performance, we’d be surprised if the PTC (Parents Television Council) didn’t move to impose some sort of fine on NBC, even though very few actually saw the motion live as it happened.
Here’s to hoping this all gets resolved quickly and goes some way to promote Arul’s new LP, due out later this year.
ummmmmmmmm……. Madonna will learn not to bring 5763899774 people to help her on stage. Every other artist did it on their own.
