Brandy on the other hand has always catered to the masses so therefore, she has more Top 40 hits than Monica does and has a more prominent name in the mainstream industry.

Monica and Brandy have always been submitted as R&B and both ladies have crossed over and if you read the article it explains they measure sales, musical influence and sales, so whether Bran has more acting etc. under her belt she still fell lower than Monica. FYI Alicia Keys and Beyonce are all ranked higher than Brandy as well. Truth is Brandy has sold more albums, but Monica does better in the charts and her singles sales kills Brandy! I don’t argue opinion because everyone has one and it can be debated, but not a FACT.
