Surpassing feats scored by Lil Kim, Eve and Missy Elliott (who either failed to chart as highly or failed to enter the Top Ten without the aid of a supporting act), ‘Ships’ success comes without the aid of a supporting video, or any physical promo in the country.
Indeed, in what can only showcase the power of her fan base, the cut’s ascent comes as a result of intense fan support, support which saw her debut LP ‘Pink Friday‘ rise 94 spots in a single week, back in January.
If this is any indicator as to how its follow up, ‘PF: Roman Reloaded’ ,will fare in the country, you can be sure this record will be one of many to come her way.
