50 Cent: “I Encourage Same Sex Relationships”

Published: Friday 18th May 2012 by David

I smell a follower… is that you?”

Ever since President Obama announced his support of same sex marriages, it seems those previously opposed to the issue have suddenly had a change of heart.

Take 50 Cent for one. Indeed, after joking about ‘shooting up a gay wedding’ in 2010, he has spoken out in support of same sex relationships, but challenges its supporters to provide evidence as to where it endorsed by any major religion.

His comments below…

On gay marriage, he confessed:

I’m cool. I would like people to actually be happy.

Technically I don’t see where it fits into any religion. The Bible that they would read to marry you, it doesn’t have anything in it that says same-sex. If it does, then I would like someone to point out that interpretation.

I’ve encouraged same-sex activities. I’ve engaged in fetish areas a couple times. I’m for it. I’m wondering if I’m bad for promoting it when the president says it’s fine.

Your thoughts?

Yeah right! Now all these homophobic rapers talking good things about the issue… now that the majority of people approve gay marriage, where were they before, and not before like 20 years ago… I´m talking about 2 years ago????? I´m gald I could care less about rap music

  2. I-P May 18, 2012

Obama’s definitely had an influence, regardless, it doesn’t really redact the good in his message. It’s nice that he’s accepting.

  6. ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) May 18, 2012

If it was 2006, back when he was at his peak, he would have probably said the exact opposite. Anyway, I’m glad that homophobia is being rejected and disapproved, even if it’s on a superficial level. 🙂 I’m straight too, but not all straight men HAVE to be homophobic

    “I smell a follower… is that you?”

WELL I’LL BE DAMN! 50 Cent has officially become a LAUGHING STOCK! This is sa man much like BEYONCE’S PET CAMEL JAYZ, who has used the term “F&GGOT” more than a few times in an attempt to humiliate a male he didn’t like!

And his new CD comes out on which day? 5 cent have several seats!

  10. boogie May 18, 2012

you all are f****** idiots ! so what he changed his mind should we be applauding his growth

  11. mobwife May 18, 2012

“I’ve encouraged same-s** activities. I’ve engaged in fetish areas a couple times”

Is he’s talking about having women engaging in “whatever” for his personal pleasure no matter how they may feel about it? I’m done with 5 Cent the new American GIMMICK! If you are for same-s** relationships then fine, but it’s funny that all of a sudden after the President and his rivial BEYONCE’S PET Camel declare their support, he follows suit!

Wait how many “bids” did Tony Yayo do? That is his main man isn’t it? 🙁

But is “fitty” encouraging same s** MARRIAGE too?!! There is a difference. I have heard so much how black men like to have s** and when the baby comes they disappear. So, fitty for same s** RELATIONSHIPS he didnt say same s** MARRIAGE. The issue is about same s** MARRIAGE, . . . . . . . . I may wait for his amswer on that : O

  14. Boopi May 18, 2012

I can’t…Negro, do even know what the Bible looks like? I mean…I don’t even know what to say!! You ENCOURAGE same s** relationships?? Did you mean to say you SUPPORT it? And why all of the sudden? I remember your first mixtape..the one BEFORE Get Rich or Die Trying. You didn’t sound so gay friendly then. What changed? Can somebody say jumpin on the bandwagon? SMH…

    • mobwife May 18, 2012

He’s talking about women sleeping with women! He portrays that scenario alot in his videos! The issue is not about his personal fantasy life as he seems to think, its about same-s** partnership and marriage!

  15. JP May 18, 2012

    GAYS RULE!!

  30. SBC19 May 18, 2012

This ain’t cool. Gay folks can do whatever it is gay folks will do, but I find it morally unacceptable and it doesn’t need to be socially encouraged. Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman — period.

Obama’s stance hasn’t (and won’t) change my opinion.

    • dang May 18, 2012

Dipshit hypocrite, don’t you realise that you’re encouragng, forcing rather, your hideous straight lifestyle down OUIR throats? Go and get abused by your priest.

    • KMP May 18, 2012

Under the US Constitution we should all have access to the same rights, benefits, and privileges. Therefore, if gays and lesbians should not be allowed to marry then NO ONE should be allowed to marry.

You may hold any and all opinions that you want but if those opinions are not fair, equal, and just then they need to be evaluated. Especially, when it comes to making said opinions law that affects every tax-paying American citizen.

    • MuzikPro May 19, 2012

I’m just curious what you mean by being socially encouraged?! What makes a straight person straight and what makes a gay person gay…the media?! 90% of media is “straight” based and yet this hasn’t stopped gays from existing. So what makes you think it would be different vice versa? hmmm Marriage is a covenant between a man and woman according to the bible….does the bible have any foot notes on children who have No understanding of s** and or sexual preference when they tell their parents they feel like the opposite gender inside. Or what about children born with both male and female genitals? What do we do to them? & when they grow up to be married? & Do you personally think gay people CHOOSE to be gay?! I mean did you CHOOSE to be straight?! There are millions of circumstances smh. I wish some self righteous people would be involved in stopping child molestation and abuse, world hunger, non-recycling, animal endangerment, war, and the abuse of planet earth with HALF the energy they use to oppress others who are different than themselves who aren’t causing any body else any harm. ugh please. Love is my religion.

  31. Truth May 18, 2012

    Encouraging the gay lifestyle.

  32. The One May 18, 2012

SBC19 i find it funny when people like you stand in opposition on issues such as Gay Marriage from a religous basis, but you lie, cheat, steal, don’t treat people how you should, lust, think evil thoughts and etc… The bible says he hates a hypocrite…Obama is a president not a religous leader; therefore, he rules for the people not different religous groups! People believe in different religons and some don’t believe in anything at all, so let those people live the life God has given them and you live yours. God gives people free will, so who are you to disaprove of anything someone besides yourself or your children does? It will be more so called saints in hell than gay people you can believe that! If being gay and loving another person of the same s** is your biggest problem, than you are doing alot better than many others, so thank God for that!!!

  33. KMP May 18, 2012

I applaud 50 Cent for his statement. He may not be as popular as he used to be and the timing is questionable, but that does not mean his words do not carry weight among many Black boys in America.

Bullying is real and anything that a Black male celebrity can do to have some influence against its eradication in the Black population is noteworthy.

There are a few discrepancies in the statement (i.e. Bible interpretations); however, it is a step forward for a group of people [LGBTQ] who have had their share of disappointments and struggles.

I embrace his evolving attitudes and I only hope they grow stronger.

  34. Obama2012 May 18, 2012

I am all for gay marriage but just not in the Church. Because the Bible calls homosexuality a sin, it literally calls it a wicked thing. Now Im a christian and believe God loves us all the same but I do stand by the belief that the Bible was written as fact and shouldn’t be altered to fit fashionable trends, like supporting gay marriage.

  35. MuzikPro May 19, 2012

Well in my opinion I think most of the more financially “high status” rappers such as Jay-z and 50 are making statements like these, opposing their previous opinions years ago has a lot to do with their ability to have more worldly experiences than before. In black culture and especially black “ghetto” culture (which I can say, not meaning to be offensive because I too like JayZ was raised in Bedstuy) Gay culture isn’t really accepted and gay relationships aren’t really represented. I’m sure since making large amounts of money being involved with all types of people all over the world, gaining once in a life time experiences, and frankly working in a industry which happens to have many lgbt individuals behind the scenes. Their eyes have been opened to the fact that PEOPLE are PEOPLE. We all have relationships that are loving, challenging, marriage worthy and otherwise, etc. I personally think others who have a problem with this are really just ignorant to gay culture and never took the time to genuinely KNOW a lgbt identified person. If they did, they would realize the opposition’s argument especially from a religious stand point is fairly ignorant and uneducated. Gay people are just like straight people lol. & Other abominations in the bible include unclean things, lying, cheating, a proud heart, Idolatry, wearing clothes of the opposite s** for women this would mean pants, re-marriage of former companions, OPPRESSION of others, and injustice. The list goes on and on and on and on. So if we must judge by the Bible lets be consistent and be honest that NO one can be perfect and everyone is equal by the bible’s standards. There are more important things in the world to STOP than stopping human beings right to love each other the way they want to.

  36. Tbozfan10 May 19, 2012

I’d like to point out that Kanye West and to a lesser degree P. Diddy have supported the right for same s** couples to get married for years now, way before even Obama did! So it’s not like there weren’t those in the rap game also leading the way for this change.

  37. lola June 2, 2012

Just because the President, rappers, and actors think homosexuality is ok and normal, doesnt mean it is,. This is the ultimate test to see just how much influence these people have over you. Not me. Zero. They are not GOD.
