Watch: Nelly Furtado Strips For ‘Big Hoops’ Performance

Published: Friday 11th May 2012 by Sam

Mind out of the gutter.

Unlike many of her chart contemporaries Nelly Furtado needn’t rely on stripping off to garner attention. Rather, a newly released performance of ‘Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)’ sees the eclectic singer do away with the “busy” nature of the track – serving up, instead, an acoustic version.

Find out how she fared below…

Great performance. The pronounced essence of “nasal” on the recorded version was somewhat of a turn-off. However, here Furtado pitches the track down, resulting in an all-together better listening experience. More of this, please.

Your thoughts?

I love her, but this was horrible. Still, I believe in her artistry, so I think the album is going to be great. I hope she brings it for the BBMA’s, because the video was lacklustre tbh.

This song sucks. They need to go back to the drawing board. Big Hoops? What is she even talking about? Song is just confusing and not even catchy. Next.

Actually, she ruined the song. The studio beat was f****** dope. She just made it basic as hell.

She can’t help it you guys are idiots, the song is obviously a tribute to old hip hop songs. Each Line is a old tittle from a hip hop song, Big Hoops meaning Big Hoop earnings, like what women use to wear in that era.
