  2. i’m not throwing shade, but… July 1, 2012

predictable bull$hit winners! I couldn’t watch this trash except for D’Angelo

  3. Tbozfan10 July 1, 2012

Damn Trey got robbed best r&b artist award. Usher. I wouldve been happy for Usher had he won as well. I’m gonna p*** somebody off with this but I really feel all these award shows keep giving Chris Brown all these awards to help him continue to jump start his career again , the Grammys and now this. It’s sort of like in 2008 at the VMA’s where they gave Britney Spears all those awards for the very lackluster “Piece of Me” video. It was obviously a sympathy award and a career-booster.

B**** please! Chris Brown was robbed. He and Taboraze should have won the Best Video Driector of theYear for Turn Up The Music. Did anyone see that Party video? Did the song even chart? How about the video? No, they gave the award to Beyonce and her sister’s boyfriend. Chris has been directing videos for a long time yet they give that damn award to her for making for showing up. F*** EBT.

I am thrilled but a little disappointed. I missed a big portion of the show but from what i saw, I only have gripe with the following:

    1. Beyonce and Jay Z must’ve been promised a million awards to attend. i did think the Jay Z and Kanye collab was great but I haven’t been thrilled about anything Beyonce’s done since……..her first album after the group unofficially then officially broke up. (pre jay z)

    2. I was very upset of all the potential singers to participate in the tribute for whitney, they chose Brandy!!! Whitney is KNOWN for her powerful voice…and Brandy is known for her weak voice!! I was upset about that AND she performed two songs!!!! she doesn’t even have the range! I loved Monica’s song and would’ve MUCH rather have listened to her sing more songs!

3.No way should Mindless Behavior have won anything & Chris Brown’s video was 100 times better than that trash beyonce vomited out.

U r so dumb!!!, Brandy Killed that performance. U honestly sound drunk, Brandy is well known for her unmatched vocals. Get a Clue, child, stop being dillusional

    • Stormy July 2, 2012

You speak the goddam truth! Whenever you see Beyonce and C*** Sucker Jay you already know they’re going to be handed trophies no matter what. They can never just come out to support other people, hell no never that. They have to be promised something to show the f*** up! I don’t give a damn about any other award but the Video Director of the Year Award that should have gone to Chris!

  5. Essence July 1, 2012

what happened to best male hip hop

  6. FOLLOW ME @gdboyratedloud July 1, 2012

Chris Brown over Usher and Trey Songz?????? The rnb charts dont even know Breezy this era.

THAT IS NOT SHADE. COMPLETE FACTS. Sweet Love and the rest flopped

    • Stormy July 2, 2012

Since its release, “Sweat Love” continues to Chart on the top 10 R&B Charts especially on iTUNES, all over the world. What are you talking about? Does Usher make R&B songs anymore? What has Stray Thongz made lately?

  7. Angie July 1, 2012

What is with ppl saying Trey Songz should have won? Am I the only one who thinks he’s horrible. He CANNOT sing. I will never forget when this delusional mofo BUTCHERED Purple Rain in front of Prince himself @ the BET Awards. He sucks.

    • TreyS July 2, 2012

yes, you’re the only one, and you are stupid! Trey is the best r’n’b male

  8. MISHKA July 2, 2012

Very predictable list but congrats to everybody!

  9. the real xoxo July 2, 2012

saying chris brown is r&b is like saying nicki minaj is hip hop.

  10. bigboi July 2, 2012

First these awards are extremely shegged. I am not knocking beyonce BUT SHE IS NOT AN RNB artists anymore. She makes pop music, melaine fiona should have that Best female RNB artists fair and square.
Trey songs should have really beat chris brown for rnb artists (although I am prepared to let this one slide as CB is a tuff rnb artists ). I also want to add How does Usher get nominated for RNB when his album is ElectroPOP/dance music. He hasn’t put out an rnb record in ages, and ‘climax’ is not an rnb record it just has urban appeal!! Understand the difference.

AS much I root for BET awards they need a criteria for who wins because I think labels are paying these awards so their artists get more publicity.

    • dee July 4, 2012

I agree with you Big Boi, I know for a fact Melaine should have gotten that award. C what is goin on bey keep being handed awards she dnt even deserve. Her song cant touch Mel song If it kills me! Beyonce needs to stop being a pig ! And every1 who is taking up for her are fools she keep getting richer, n we r just workin citzens make under millions. N my eye she is a self centerd virgo thats a.pig! Gosh I hate I had to b a virgo like her, im so happy im not greedy!

  11. Stormy July 2, 2012

I loved a few performances and Sam Jack did better than expected, but the award winners were obviously stagged. Ladies in R&B should know by now if Beyonce’s in the category she will be gettin that award. I wouldn’t bother to show up if I was a female R&B singer. Chaka Khan looked and sounded damn good tho. The Whitney Houston Tribute was boss. Ymcmb, Maybach, ABC/XYZ whatever, were all ass from Nicki to Tyga! Where are the real rappers? Folks want to talk about R&B but where’s the Rap talent? what I saw was trash.

  12. ANNE July 2, 2012

Glad Beyonce won, 4 is a R&B album that deserves recognition and the haters need to grow up.

    • TJ July 2, 2012

So True…..her album has been underated!!!! Love Queen Bey!!!!

  13. NICK July 2, 2012

Chris Brown did techno music, haha he should NOT have won, other than that, the list is legit!

  14. Rob July 2, 2012

Wait… Nicki Minaj for Best Hip Hop Artist? You gotta be kidding me. The b**** can’t rap.

  15. Johnny July 2, 2012

    This show was Wack

  16. Johnny July 2, 2012

This was the wackest show ever….was more like the jayz/Beyonce awards show…come on, there was more artists that sure didn’t get recognize

    • dee July 4, 2012

I agree Johnny it was alot of artists that did not get recognized even Chante moore when she sang Donna Summer song, Marsha ‘Far away,Melane Fiona n the list could go on but ima end it there!

  17. Tbozfan10 July 3, 2012

    Lmao this post:
“Since its release, “Sweat Love” continues to Chart on the top 10 R&B Charts especially on iTUNES, all over the world. What are you talking about? Does Usher make R&B songs anymore? What has Stray Thongz made lately?”

You’re being completely illogical. You wanna use the r&b charts as an example as well as iTunes well on the r&b chart on billboard Usher’s “Climax” sat comfortably at #1 for weeks and Trey Songz “Heart Attack” is in the top 10 and both have chatted higher than “Sweet Love” and both have been at #1 on iTunes as well.

  18. thisisforyoumy#1 July 3, 2012

Right? I laughed at that comment. If Usher wasn’t r&b then tell me why Climax was #1 for 10 weeks straight on the r&b charts? Its not like the BET awards matter anyways, we all know that Usher and Trey are going to dominate the r&b part of the Grammys 😉

Lady Gaga is herself a work of art and from the odusite (people who do not know her personally like me) it may seem a bit confusing (over the top) and maybe she is confused (over the top) but there seems to be a meaning to the madness so all the best to her and her career. With that said she makes it hard for me (personally) to be a fan, guess I am just old fashion.[]VA:F [1.9.11_1134]please wait…VA:F [1.9.11_1134](from 0 votes)
