This is your last chance CiCi. If you flop this time I’m not supporting you anymore. If this music doesn’t work, try modeling.

    • ENOUGH ONIKA July 18, 2012

Exactly, this is her THIRD shot to take advice from her fans and give us what WE are wanting from her. Her way failed twice. Don’t let that valley life ruin your career CiCi, those people aren’t the ones buying your music so why try and appease them??

      • China July 18, 2012

Yes, she needs to take it back to Goodies, and The Evolution of Ciara. Everybody can’t do pop.

      • ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 18, 2012

        @ China

She doesn’t need to take it back to ‘Goodies’. That album was released 8 years ago, do you think that sound would work right now? ‘Basic Instinct’ was her attempt at ‘Goodies’ 2.0. and look at how that went. Ciara should be a real artist and real artists go forward, not back 😉

      • Bran July 18, 2012

Ciara tried to please people that wanted her old sound back when she did “Basic Instinct” and it didn’t work. Urban music isnt selling like pop. Why do u think everybody is going pop nowadays. It’s not like Ciara is changing up her whole sound she’s still giving us the urban and R&B, she’s just trying to expand her fanbase and have an international hit. It’s nothing wrong with that. People need to stop trying to put Ciara in a box as an artist.

      • FAF July 18, 2012

I don’t understand why “FANS” seem to think their advice worked. She gave y’all Her last album full of Crunk-n-B & it flopped.. The pop was successful (LOVESEXMAGIC) Her last hit in 2009 hit #2 on Billboard! Stick to it, CiCi! F the haters! I’m rooting for you – We need more POSITIVE role models who WRITE THEIR OWN MUSIC & Don’t have to smoke blunts on instagram for followers!

      • therealest July 18, 2012

errryone has an opinion about the music she should be doing…

but none of it is right or constructive. Glad I havent got to try and please evryone here…impossible task!!!

      • ENOUGH ONIKA July 18, 2012

@therealest so when two albums fail back to back, people who like Ciara should just be quite and not say what they would buy and support from her? Just let her continue down a path of obsoletion?? Okay, makes sense….. -___-

      • ENOUGH ONIKA July 18, 2012

@FAF and @Bran Basic Instinct was nothing like her first two albums and nothing about it was crunk&b. I’m not against growth and changing your style to expand your audience, hell you’d be stupid if you didn’t attempt at it. But it didn’t work twice and something in your past did, whats wrong with capitalizing off that? This album is not about expansion or cross marketing at this point, it’s about getting fans period. And if that means focusing on one particular market i.e. the urban right now, than so be it! She needs to start from ground zero..

    • China July 18, 2012

@ASAP, I’m not saying create that same sound, I’m saying re-create that the rawness, and the energy. She has tried pop already and guess what, it failed.

      • ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 18, 2012

I get what you’re saying, but she already tried that. Remember her hip hop buzz single in 2010 and then her ‘Ride’ video. It doesn’t get more raw than that. Her ‘Goodies’ sound, image, approach and method won’t work again and ‘BI’ proved it…the hard way.

She needs to be herself imo. The reason why ‘FR’ and ‘BI’ flopped was because of label interventions and manipulative co-workers (The Dream). If she chooses for herself and become a true artist, she’ll succeed. That’s just my opinion, though.

    • China July 18, 2012

I’m not telling her to go backwards, but in order for her to succeed in her future she has to remember where she came from. Ciara was raw, and hood when she came out now she has this Kim K. personality. Look at Rihanna, she always infuses her island roots with her music. When Rihanna comes on you know its her, because she has a style and she keeps that, no matter what genre. Ciara changes so much to the point where she seems lost.

      • FAF July 18, 2012

& i HATE when artists try to have Tricky & Dream produce their entire album (Mariah, Ciara) It NEVER WORKS! The dream is a Hitmaker but he cannot make an entire album!

    • China July 18, 2012

@ASAP Agree, but BI flopped more because of the label not promoting her not because it was a bad album. I think she should still put some Hip Hop & RnB on the album since she is under a new label. It will be more received because now she has a big machine behind her ready to push. She needs to go to radio stations personally and drop singles, she needs to be shoved down our throats like Rihanna, Katy, and Beyonce are. Then people will have no choice but to check her out.

    • JDE97 July 18, 2012

Shut up China. Your support or withdrawal of it doesn’t make or break anyone. I always have to laugh when idiots like you think that they have more power than they do. Go to sleep.

      • China July 18, 2012

Who said my support matters, you did. Obviously she needs all the supports she can get, since she keeps flopping. Why can’t you understand that its okay to not like everything an artist puts out.

  2. Ugh July 18, 2012

Why is she so valley girl? UGH

    • ENOUGH ONIKA July 18, 2012

    • BitchPlease July 18, 2012

    • DeL_Cappella July 18, 2012

well “stan” you know her album will only flop if you dont buy it… i despise how people declare that how great or poor albums are but did not invest in the music whatsoever

  4. toohotfortv July 18, 2012

I can’t believe Janet dated this dude. Anyway, speaking of Janet, doesn’t Ciara give you that soft spoken Jackson vibe on here? AND wow… popeye’s and picadilly’ I bet y’all don’t know about that. That’s that real southern stuff right there. YUM!

    • China July 18, 2012

Yes she does, along with the toned body and her dance style.

  5. ty July 18, 2012

    • ENOUGH ONIKA July 18, 2012

I agree, she needs an anthem song like “Live Your Life.” Similar sound as well.

  9. ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 18, 2012

I love Ciara and I hope she brings it with this album! What happened to ‘Sweat’, though. It deserved a promo video and a radio add date. Buzz singles should be handled better, but anyway. I can’t wait for the lead single 🙂 She’s worked with so many producers that a diverse album must be on the way 😎

    • POP ROYALTY ( F*** Yo Fav) July 18, 2012

  16. credits July 18, 2012

I loved her during her Goodies and Evolution period but when fantasy ride came about i lost interest and i can’t exactly remember why…. I do think Keri hilson came about and filled a void that Ciara left in urban music when she went pop. Now i’m not sure where her place is, where will she fit in?

    • BitchPlease July 18, 2012

And where is Keri Hilson now lol Karma’s a b**** and to think Polo Da Don tried to make his friend successful by hurting his other friend..He put Keri up to that Turn Me on Remix diss (OLD AS HELL BUT HEY)

  20. D July 18, 2012

LA won’t let her fail. They keep throwing things out there and wait for the masses responses..IE Sweat and Overdose. She just needs to release the song with Rick Ross that I heard is CRAZY..She still coulda released the video for SWEAT to keep the buzz going..As far as doing what the fans want, she’s tried that twice.Yall asked for different and she gave you FR and yall didnt like it.She went back to her roots with BI and yall didnt support. She should do what she wants now and make good music..
