Take a deep breath. Adele is talented as a singer and songwriter, but I agree there are many talented black artists that don’t get the recognition that she gets. Adele is filling in the shoes of the late Amy Winehouse (no one can do it quite like Amy), but don’t come at Adele like that Benron. At least Adele is making good MEANINGFUL music and doing it the right way. If Rihanna gets recognition is “famous” then surely a more talented artist can have the spotlight. You sound very threatened that Adele is coming this time round. Why scared she’ll outperform Rihanna? She probably will. 😀
Girl, don’t play with me acting like this dated movie single will beat out diamonds. She is more talented than Rihanna but I’m critisizing this racist hype she gets. Its kind of like Gaga (the hype) she is not doing anything better than the members of her genre but overzealous fans claim that them lifting their fingers is the second coming.
Her music is ok, she is like the NickelBack of soul though, very watered down, and she is not very meaningful. If you switch S** with heartbreak than she is the same as Rihanna. Same good production, same catchy hook, same metaphorical chorus and same nice tone but unimpressive-pretty good singing. You feel me?
I feel you. I still think Adele is more talented than the way your putting her. Surely if you can praise Rihanna’s “artistry” then you can find in your heart to praise Adele too. Honestly though Gaga’s fans don’t act worse than the Navy does; every time Rihanna releases a music you guys all scream “slayed” “legend” around too. But anyways, if Diamond is outperformed on iTunes by One Direction, Kesha, Taylor Swift, PSY, etc. then Adele might notch it up due to her hype. All in all, we’ll see what happens I guess.
They jsut get reckless in the excitment. We KNOW Rihanna is not a legend nor an Icon, which is why we are pushing her to make strides towards one, but she keeps repeating her mistake.
#GGGB set her up to be a potential icon but she ruined it with the poor promotion and mess singles of the beautiful Rated R. The same with the LOUD- #TTT (But i wouldn’t call it beautiful). If she can slay for us and get her vocals in check people would see what I say about her being more meaningful then she gets credit for.
But yes, Madonna-Impersonator, TinaTurner-Wannabe and Adele are all more VOCALLY talented than Rihanna despite my critism of them I do know that,

Yes Benron. I deff agree with you. I like Adele and I think she’s talented but she only receives this hype because she’s a white foreign woman. I have Adele’s 21 CD and it has to be one of the most overrated CD’s I’ve ever heard in my life. If Adele was black she would be struggling to sell right now. I like Adele and I definitely respect her ”slayage” on the charts but all that hype is unnecessary. She is very talented though.
I mean, from the songs I’ve heard, she is just a more mature Taylor swift, she writes So-so songs and her singing is good, but she is not very WOW, like they act she is. She doesen’t evoke any feelings with her music, just lets people sing along the hooks about how her boyfreind dumped her.
