This is Kelly’s problem. She has convinced herself that she is a superstar because of her days in DC but she’s NEVER had a single successful era like Brandy had Full Moon, Ciara had the Evolution and B had Sasha Fierce. Think about it, name one era that Kelly has slayed in.
She is so cocky and arrogant and that is why she flops in everything she does, she can’t accept that she’s not doing well. Brandy may have flopped on her first week but the good thing about this album is that she’s back on the scene and people know she’s working.
What’s Kelly doing? She released ice in july but november is next week and its video still isn’t out. How do you expect anyone to support you when you keep failing like that.

How r u gonna say Kelly doesn’t know quality music when Simply Deep and Ms. Kelly was her best work but was not appreciated. She’s only putting music out now that will get radio play but this album coming is said to be her best work. Here I Am album was the album reintroducing herself back as a solo artist! That’s very one-sided. If I’m COMPLETELY honest, Kelly stans have been trying to make Brandy out to be some kind of Kelly clone since the very beginning of B-rocka’s comeback era. Everything sounds like Motivation to ya’ll (the slow and uptempo songs), Motivation can’t be both! Then there was issue’s with Brandy working with Frank (who she was reunited with), we’ve never bad- mouthed Kelly for working with Darkchild until things reached this point. Brandy can’t even wear her hair curly without Kelly stans making comparisons.
The whole Brandy Vs Monica thing is a bit personal – that dates back some time. I don’t care for Monica, but at least she was a solo artist out in the 90’s “competing” against Brandy during that era. It’s taken time for those groups to get pass some things. Why Kelly is coming into the picture is unclear. To be honest , I’d understand if it was Ciara stans more. Brandy and Kelly really aren’t alike (career wise), their not each others competition.

She won a billboard award, soul train award, was nominated for a grammy and world music awards all in one year just off that one song. An artist that came out in ’94 should not really be compared to an artist that debuted in ’02. Inside the first 10 years of most artists careers is where they usually peak. It makes more sense to compare the peaks of 2 different artists that has released music in different decades.
That’s why I never understand why people expect Bey to do Adele’s numbers now. It’s really an accomplishment to have longevity. If Adele becomes a “has-been”next year her career would have lasted for 4 years. You wouldn’t then say that her impact is bigger than an artist that’s slayed for 20 years.
