Perhaps in response to her rising profile in the country, Nicki Minaj is fast becoming one of a few US acts to enjoy impressive chart runs in the United Kingdom.
Holding the record for being the only Female Rapper to score a #1 LP in the chart’s 43 year history, Minaj continues to soar on a number of British tallies this week, before the launch of her sold out Arena tour.

As it stands, Nicki is the only artist on the single’s chart to enjoy three or more songs in the Top 50, with ‘Pound The Alarm‘ in at #49, ‘Va Va Voom’ at #20 and ‘Starships’ at #37- rising 13 spots since last week.
This, as ‘Voom’ sits pretty at #5 on an R&B front, two spots above ‘Starships’ at which holds court #7, helped in part by her sophomore LP’s (‘Roman Reloaded’) steady run on the album chart.
A run, which has never seen it leave the Top 50 since its release 28 weeks ago.
The project, which was recently certified Platinum in the US, is set to rise even further on British shores next week- following the launch of the star’s British Arena tour in Nottingham tomorrow.
With a capacity of 10,000, the city’s Capital FM arena will house the Rapper’s stage show, featuring performances by ‘Home Run‘ starlet Misha B and ‘Rack City’ MC Tyga on it’s Europe/Oceania leg .
