Well I’m here for Solo and can’t wait for some new music but don’t really like the cover.

    • HALF AMAZIN October 26, 2012

Solange tries to hard to be different. This cover…o_0…
Why is this an EP?? Why not release an album? I feel like EP’s are just a way of saying we ran out of money here’s half.

      • Sweetnothings78 October 26, 2012

Ha ha half price Solange- half price to Beyonce? Ha ha

    • ThéLourson October 27, 2012

      Don’t like it neither!
      Frank Ocean Channel Orange much….??
Damn! This family really lacks originality and creativity!

  2. iamdiego October 26, 2012

Loved her last album that cover ws everything this one cant even be ready without straining my eyes.

  3. JuanR October 26, 2012

Yeah. It’s different and maybe she thinks it’s artistic?
But it will not make people buy it. And her name is not even there…
+ I think that Frank Ocean did something similar with Chanel Orange.

  4. damn October 26, 2012

CALL me a hater but this s*** wack. having a square colour page is not artistic. Whats next. cutting off your skin and doing it in the name of art. ill pass

  6. Dave October 26, 2012

Who gives a ish about the EP cover, it’d not like you’re gonna listen to the album cover itself over & over, ti’s all about the music. To me, she can put a very visual image of manure on the cover, & I would still play the heck out of the EP.

  7. Dave October 26, 2012

Anyway, I’ve been confused about her deal. I’ve heard her say independent, then I saw her on Roc Nation’s site, then I didn’t see her no more, now I’m hearing of terrible records, which is it. Is she managed through Roc Nation, & has a distribution deal w/ Terrible Records?, & or just makes her music independently without a labels overs sight?

    • HALF AMAZIN October 26, 2012

She’s managed through Roc Nation. She has no major label deal. They only reason she’s still allowed to make music is because of blatant nepotism.

      • Fashionable Jewelry October 26, 2012

Your right. Nepotism at it’s Finest.

There isn’t a such thing as being allowed to make music. She could be a average person who produces all her music on her laptop & put together her own vocal arrangements & post it on YouTube, & that would be her making music. What you said does not make any sense. I wasn’t asking for shade, I was asking for a legitimate answer to the question. i think she “makes” music is because she loves it, & she’s allowed to do so because this is a free country & she has the money to do so, or also because she has a loyal fanbase, small, but will buy her quality music. Thanks, but no thanks.

  8. morgat October 26, 2012

    i love you solange!!!!!!!

  9. MC October 26, 2012

  10. Rih4lyphe October 26, 2012

I like the song titles… feel like she is talkin bout my life. Lets wait n see if the lyrics match up.

  11. Gilberto October 26, 2012

That cover is made of ketchup. She got some leftovers working on McDonald’s.

  13. Öz Firdevs October 26, 2012

I really love the cover. I think she did something diefferent !

  14. B_STANNING(BEY STAY WINNING) October 26, 2012

SOLO is doing something totally different from many and I respect her for that. Some of yall just use to the same ol same. Be open minded

  15. MusicB October 26, 2012

I love Solange’s music. It’s very mellow and puts me in a good chill vibe.

To those who are saying that you’re not HERE for her music. If that’s the case, why the hell did you click on the link?!!! If I’m not here for an artist, I scroll on by and do not waste my time clicking on the link. I guess you’re HERE to hate instead of scrolling on by a post that’s obviously about an artist you don’t care for.

    • BitchICan’tEvenSpellWelfare October 27, 2012

Exactly! If you ALREADY KNOW that you are not feeling Solange, WHY click on a post about her? But we are talking about TGJ here, the place where logic rarely reigns.

& why do people constantly bring up Beyonce on Solange’s posts? I love Bey but Solange gives me something WAY different; that’s what I love about her. They have NOTHING in common musically–nothing. & Solange is not trying to be different for the sake of being different. She IS different.

Anyway, I agree with you. I LOVE her work and I’m definitely buying this EP. She just keeps getting better and better.

  16. Letruth October 26, 2012

I love her music but maybe if her face was on the cover more people would buy it.

  17. ENOUGH ONIKA October 26, 2012

I think sometime Solange is so busy trying to be different and not like her sister, her material becomes basic and boring. Case and point, this cover. There’s nothing wrong with being different but make it interesting. We know you’re not Beyonce, it’s okay to make it hot!

  18. Peter Griffin October 26, 2012

R U SERIASS! Is the budget that low. Sure Bey could lend you some G’s!

  19. Jer October 26, 2012

I love the cover. Shes serving artistic Bifocal realness!

  20. Laurie October 27, 2012

damn did she do the cover on power point wow ??!!!!!

  21. 2much2soon October 27, 2012

WTF is this…. Im all for different and thinking outside of the box. But the fact that you have to damn near break your vision to even see a title is a good enough reason for me not to even want to listen to that Sh*t. Solange is an amazing fashion icon, trendsetter etc but musically she tries TOOOOOOOO HARD. This is just ridiculous.

SN: This is set to be released via terrible records for real or its just this site being sarcastic? LMAO!! Someone please give me some insight.
