New Song: Little Mix – ‘DNA’

Pop quad Little Mix wrapped their third single ‘DNA’ today.

As the title track of their debut album, all eyes (and ears) are on whether the ladies can deliver with arguably their most important release yet.

The conundrum ends and answer awaits after the jump…

Yes, yes, and yes! This is easily the group’s best effort yet.

A pulsating Pop anthem, the track boasts hooks a plenty and an immense chorus. The bridge is pleasantly atypical too. Above all, we’re most impressed with the ladies pronounced use of their biggest asset – Perrie Edwards. Indeed, her unparalleled range and non-standard Pop tone make for an intriguing listen from the jump.

Put simply, ‘DNA’ helps the group as a whole strut beyond the ‘X Factor winner’ title and towards more respected territory. We like, do you?

‘DNA’ (the single) hits iTunes on November 12th, while their album of the same name arrives on November 19th.

Soooo Perrie is the (main) lead vocalist huh?….. Kelly Rowland, gurl, take a bow and duss your shoulder off. They doing everything you told them to.

Leigh-Anne (like the whole song) = mehhh.

@SADE CO-SIGN. TULA WAS BEING STUBBORN AS USUAL AND WOULDN’T TAKE KELLY NOR GARY’S (WHO HAVE BEEN IN A MAJOR BAND) ADVICE. SMH 🙁

Perrie is opening the song but that doesn’t mean she’s the lead vocalist. Her solo was probably the worst part of the whole song. Her voice is very underwhelming in this.

    Oh this is garbage :S.

I really don’t think Perrie is their biggest asset. Yes she is strong singer but get voice is so affected its becoming annoying.

yawn, another Simon-cowell manufactured group of puppets trying to sound “edgy”.
this elecronic music stopped sounding edgy 2 years ago.

I’ve just been slain !!!! I was not expecting this !!! It’s amazing, I can no longer decide whether I like Little Mix or Stooshe, I always thought Stooshe had the upper hand….but this changes everything !!!

  12. I’m not throwing shade, but… October 1, 2012

This is doing nothing for me whatsoever. Wings was catchy but this…. too much going on whilst sounding like something else. Maybe a few more listens, but no immediate spark.
