Having exceeded initial sales expectations, Ne-Yo is leaving no stage untouched in the push for his latest LP, ‘R.E.D’.
Motown’s new Head of A&R took front stage center on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show last night, rocking out to his Hot 100 smash ‘Let Me Love You’ (which currently sits at #8 on the tally), returning to rouse his R&B fans with a live rendition of new Urban single ‘Don’t Make ‘Em Like You’.
Great performances all-round. And while it’s always great to see album mobilizer ‘Let Me Love You’ performed, it’s even better to see more from the LP being afforded the live treatment. For, the album as a body of work, is both solid and diverse – and should be recognised for being so.
Randomness: Does anyone else think the sublime ‘Miss Right’ should follow as the project’s third single. From our vantage point, it’s the one song on the album that could easily appease both Pop and Urban radio. Just a thought.
