Peep these pics snapped in Manchester, UK last night- taken at the first night of Rita Ora‘s long awaited ‘Radioactive Tour’.
Kicking off at the Manchester Academy, last night’s showing saw her wow fans with live renditions of songs pulled from her UK debut, ‘ORA‘- responsible for the 2x Platinum single, ‘How We Do‘.

Hmm, while all reviews from last night’s show pointing to excellent, we can’t say we understand what Rita was packaged as. For, though her gear would have worked on the runway of niche fashion show, it didn’t really for work for her.
Granted, while we’re sure they’ll make more sense when footage from the night emerges, we’d say Rita could score sweeter units if she became the Tumblr ready girl next door and wait until she is more established before rocking such daring fits.
In saying that, we’re sure that once we see the show, it’s her voice and not her fashion that will take center stage.
Wish she’d take the tour to the US! I’d be front row 🙂

She will be making a loss from this tour. Her ticket prices average $18 and venues are 2000 – 3000 capacity. She has to pay iggy, band, dancers, designers, transport, hotels, staff, share some of the money with the label (360 deals), and 20% management fees. Infact her label will be sharing costs not profits. Roc Nation thinks they are building her fan base now and they will reap the rewards later but only if they knew that will never happen with this girl.
Not to mention, she got Peter Dundus from Pucci to custom design her tour. Huate Couture for a tour is normally reserved for mega A list Stars. This girl is D list flop and she is getting haute couture stage wear for a small tour. The tour barley sold out, just last week, her management were begging tickets last week.
She did not rehearse. She was in NYC, Paris – TWICE AND Thailand partying. She only started rehearsing a few days ago. Rih tour starts in march and she has started rehearsing with Hi Hat.
They are saying that people walked out of her show. Poor dat.
I heard that Chris brown made a loss from his last tour and it is left him in debt, owing millions, so much so, that he is now desperate: He has the asian ugly ass boy taking his money and get him hooked on the bad stuff. Now, he made friends with drake, cos so he can open for lil wayne.

Yup I agree on this one. I am to believe TGJ is getting paid for their unreasonable and unsubstantiated support for such mediocre talent. I personally feel like they are force feeding us RIta Ora, and that really not cool, i think her career is testament , it is evident the people are not interested.
Now on to the talented black girls who are not getting recognition, can you include Tinashe (mixed race)!! now she should have been signed by Roc nation a long time ago and had the budget Rita got , and would have made profit for them as opposed to Rita.

Sam I have noticed that you are starting to see the missteps that led to Rita not blowing up regardless of that huge promo. Roc Nation believes so much in this “Shove to people’s throat” theory that they did not focus on the qaulity of music. They did not allow Rita to be a struggling/upcoming artist, they introduced her as a superstar. How are going to market her next project?????? Urban don’t like her and she’s not unique for mainstream.

Last night was the second time I’ve seen this ‘thing’ in the last six months. Not through being one of the drones that queues up to see her but because of my job. Both times she has been awful. Now, I don’t like this sort of music, I absolutely detest her. So I thought it was just me. But when paying customers who did queue for hours started walking out halfway through both gigs, it really says something about her! She is an Awful artist who can’t sing live! Red arrows welcomed!!!
I’ve seen her twice in London and I thought that her voice was amazing, however her music is beyond wack, which ruined the shows for me. Miss Ora needs to start setting the trend instead of following it, she needs to check Jessie Ware and more underground artist for inspiration because these dance tunes, hideous outfits and bleached blonde hair do nothing to showcase her true talent.
