The song, titled ‘Almost Home’, will be the first official single from the ‘Oz the Great and Powerful‘ soundtrack. The track, distributed by label Island/Def Jam, is also being granted the visual treatment with legendary photographer David LaChapelle said to be at its helm.
No word on when fans can expect the video’s debut.

About the oscars: Mariah already sang in a song that won an oscar “When you believe”. It´s one of the few songs she has not written in her career so the oscar is not hers (I suppose it´s only for the writers). But I´m just saying in case you didn´t know. These true greats have done it all already 🙂

I read the track is produced by Stargate. Previous songs Stargates done for Mariah are from E=MC2, I’m The Chick and Bye Bye. I didn’t particularly care for Im That Chick, but Bye Bye was a nice ballad! I know this has been said a billion times but she should reconcile with Walter A and just record with him again.
