Despite readying the launch of her ‘Diamonds World Tour’ this week, Rihanna still found time to spew a little ugliness days ago when she launched a subtle dig at SONY Princess Ciara.
Indeed, by way of her unemployed puppet Melissa Forde, the part time entertainer mocked the singer’s a capella rendition of her new single ‘Body Party’, released in full hours later.
Today, Ciara addressed the matter in depth during an appearance on Chicago’s 107.5FM, explaining that she knew Rihanna and her perpetual pet ‘weren’t coming from a positive place’.

“I thought everything was cool because I actually saw Rihanna two years ago at the Met Gala after we had the little small back and forth and from what I recall everything was cool. So, in my mind I operate from a place of love and pure support. If you would have asked me about her up until this point I would have nothing but good things to say because I’m really happy for her. But I didn’t receive what they did from a positive place.”
Addressing the Twitter ‘shade’ as she readies the release of her new ‘One Woman Army’ album, Ciara’s interview with the station also comes after Rihanna picked up the award for ‘Worst Supporting Actress‘ at the 2013 Razzie Awards for her role in the movie ‘Battleship’.
It also comes after her British TV show ‘Styled To Rock‘ was pulled from the air after failing to captivate UK audiences, suffering ratings losses week on week despite the star’s alleged ‘star’ power.
Not everyone is struggling to make ‘TV wins’ though. Yes, fans of Cici can catch on the forthcoming season of hit show ‘The Game’, in which she’s set to costar in with ‘Wish Your Love Away’ beauty Brandy.
