Today may mark the global release of Justin Timberlake‘s new album ‘The 20/20 Experience’, but the singer already has his sights set on its follow-up.
Over the weekend, Root’s star QuestLove sensationally revealed that a sequel for the ‘Suit & Tie’ led set is scheduled for November — touting the release of 10 tracks now, 10 tracks later (= 20).
With the news spreading like a wildfire, the singer had no choice but to address suggestion of ’20/20′ sequel at his iHeartRadio album release party last night in Los Angeles.
Find out what he said after the jump…
Talking to Ryan Seacrest during the live-streamed show, the 32 year old said:
“I’ve got to clear up the rumors. This whole thing about this only being the first part … is true. There is another half. I’m not giving you a release date” {Source}
Just got confirmation from the man himself, @jtimberlake will drop a 2nd album, part 2 of 20/20 Experience soon! #iHeartJT

While it’d take a lot to convince us that this isn’t driven by a desire to race through record contract obligations (see: movies pay better and faster), we’d be lying if we said we aren’t amped. More so from a marketing standpoint than a musical one.
Releasing part 1 amidst the expected “comeback” hysteria (and a worldwide stadium tour) will likely see the project achieve blockbuster success between now and end of the year; part 2, we imagine, will come packaged with the first to beef up overall sales. Even if rolled-out as a standalone project, it’ll be able to compensate for the lack of “first album in 7 years” hype by piggy-backing on the success of its first instalment. Put simply, it’s a win-win — on paper.
Profit, of course, is always the main motiv for such releases, yet when artists and their teams find clever ways to mask and market this it reminds us that there are still creative folk at work in an often routinized industry.
I HOPE IT’S BETTER THAN THIS ALBUM. I’M NOT THAT EXITED ABOUT THE 20/20 EXPERIENCE
I see now why he only put 10 songs out. If he’s got another 10 +2 more bonus tracks then I’m good. I’ll keep the best ones and end up with a great album. Bravo!
I can’t get hyped after the disappoint I experienced with 20/20… We’ll see if he can redeem himself and if Timbo brings something new to the table next time…
20/20 EXPERIENCE is ridiculous…
this album sounds like something bieber would do…TOTALLY UNINSPIRED..and to think we waited 7 years for this s***
The experience so far has been lame, a bit like getting down with a hot guy and realising that he comes up short…. not a great experience.
November is long enough for me to forget this mess.
The 20/20 Experience is just ridicilously stupid, boring, disappointing…I dont think part 2 would be different. wondering if he ever listened the album…Im scared all my 2000s babes start stinkin…Bey (who I adore but its obvious that musically she isnt going to a good place), Alicia etc…SAD Justin just, sad…
What an honest thing to say…….I agree!
Ummmmm……. 🙁
I’m truly unimpressed! The 20/20 EX is not at all what I had hoped to hear after a 7 yr hiatus! Now you are going to pollute the airwaves with more “DOLLAR VALUE” type music? 0_o
I might get dragged for this but I liked the 20/20 Experience. Maybe my expectations were a lot different from other JT fans but, I think its a pretty good album, of course not as good as FS/LS.
its NOT bad, BUT SUIT & TIE was sooooo AWESOME I expected more of that swag, its got a few good ones tho, NOTHING like FSLS or even JSUTIFIED (I LOVE THAT ALBUM!) its tooo much TIMBALAND IMO. o well…he still will sell well, he is JT! little girls LOVE HIM, hes cute, thats all he needs-
