Having drummed up ample buzz with digital EP ‘True’ last November, Solange is gearing up to release the critically acclaimed set in physical form.
In a carefully carved homage to her “boutique artist” status, the youngest of the Knowles clan has paired up with clothes store Opening Ceremony – who will exclusively sell the project in CD form in their stores from March 11th; the mini-album will also be available to buy online from their website.

BUT WHEN I FIRST HEARD “LOSING YOU” I WASN’T REALLY ON BOARD UNTIL THE VIDEO CAME OUT AND THEN IT JUST COMPLETED THE SONG! AND NOW IT’S ONE OF MY FAVORITES. IT GAVE IT A NEW VIBE AND IT’S ONE OF MY FAVORITE VIDEOS OF ALL TIME. I WILL BE BUYING THIS. HOPEFULLY SHE ADD’S LIKE 2 ADDITIONAL SONGS FOR THE PHYSICAL RELEASE.

Solange’s music is for those with a…how should I say this….more discerning taste in music. She’s not for everybody. The “True” EP is BRILLIANT. LOVE her!

This woman is no where near a flop! The True EP was amazing and I saw it in UK CD stores so she’s doing something right!

She needs to be just a European and South African artist because no one in America is check for her and her music.
Actually, there are PLENTY of people in America who are checking for her & her music. Just because YOU don’t see it doesn’t mean there aren’t PLENTY of other people who do.
Leave the mainstream music scene for a while & you’ll see what I mean.

There is a bit of unnecessary shade in this point (see “anyway”). Dawn & Solange appreciate each other’s work. She called Solange’s EP “sublime” (Huffington Post). There is no competition between them.
And I LOVE “Goldenheart” btw–it’s brilliant.
Solange need to go back to school to learn something. the music thing is not hers. she try so hard to be different she’s lost. the little attention she’s getting is just because of who she’s trying to not to compare to, beyonce.
So let me get this straight, the ONLY reason that people like Solange is because she is “trying so hard to be different” from, and doesn’t want to be compared to, Beyoncé?
That’s the ONLY reason? Not the music. Not her creative vision. Not her style. ONLY b/c of the reasons you mentioned?
