With a talent as rare and retro as Luke, there’s a legitimate the risk of ageing him ahead of time. After all, his “package” is one that is arguably hard to position in a male market dominated by the likes of Chris Brown and Trey Songz. However, both the ‘I.O.U’ song and video cement James in a lane of his own; a lane that manages to appeal to fans of the Old Skool, while serving up something fresh visually and sonically for the mainstream. I like this song, but don’t care too much for the music video. I liked his other song ‘Made Love To Me’as well because Terry Ellis (of En Vogue) is in that video. R&B music looks like it’s making a comeback.

And i’m so proud that my girl Keri Hilson recognised Luke’s talent and hooked him up with Danja (who gave Luke a record contract).
