Joining the Elijah Blake led pack of Urban newbies this year comes Angel, signed to Universal Republic.
Responsible for the UK #1 single ‘Wonderful‘, last weekend saw him meet up Kanya King‘s MOBO Awards for an interview centered around his debut album ‘About Time‘.
An interview, which also saw him reveal his long time dream to collaborate with ‘Wish Your Love Away’ songstress Brandy and praise the ever thriving organisation for their support of his work, and the British music industry at large.
His words below…
On working with Brandy, he explained:
“If I could, I would work with everyone but if I had to choose I would definitely like to write for Brandy.”
Quite interestingly, his remark came months after the ‘Have You Ever’ stunner revealed her ambitions to journey to the UK to collaborate with some of its more renowned creatives, at last year’s VH1 Divas outing.
Then, on the MOBO Awards:
“MOBO has been a crucial part of my growing up and my musical experience throughout life. I’ve been watching the MOBO Awards for 15 years so to get the opportunity to be on that stage after all those years is a major highlight for me and such an achievement. It wasn’t about winning anything or not, it was just the fact I was there and that meant everything.”
