Chris Brown Unwraps ‘They Don’t Know (ft. Aaliyah)’ Single Cover

Published: Friday 24th May 2013 by Sam

No stranger to controversy, Chris Brown will no doubt find himself at the center of fresh debate surrounding his use of an unreleased Aaliyah song.

As earlier reported, the stage blazer features the late singer on his new single ‘They Don’t Know’, which follows on from Urban hit ‘Fine China’. Both appear on C. Breezy’s forthcoming studio album ‘X’, which he has hailed a more marked return to R&B. And with Aaliyah occupying such a pronounced position within the genre, it’s a sure-fire way to elevate interest.

That said, we imagine the posthumous pairing will rustle a few feathers. After all, there remains uncertainty surrounding her family’s wishes for the vaulted material, as well as the fact arch-rival Drake had -up until now-been the main proprietor of bringing her music to a modern audience.

Needless to say, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out!

These light skinned queens. Leave Aaliyah alone.
Aaliyah still has these fellas sprung 12 years after passing.

  3. KING RIH May 24, 2013

    • neeboo May 25, 2013

You dont like breezy? Fine get in line but you a fake flip flopping fan he dont need anyway. I love him and Rihanna together too, but as fans we shouldnt get to concerned about who an artist in a relationship with. I dont see any other artist catching heat for who they are or are not in a relationship with. Real fans support the music and talent period!

  4. BeyWhoUWanna May 24, 2013

    Truly evil.

    • CBE May 24, 2013

How? maybe u know since Beyonce, Jay z, Rihanna,Kanye have sold their souls to the evil side.

      • Oh Yeah!!! May 24, 2013

wat u say is true, they have ALL sold their souls!!!

  5. king z May 24, 2013

    *in my mariah voice*… ILLUMINATI!

that’s a straight up baphomet head cleverly (or not so cleverly) disguised as art.

    come on Chris…do better.

    • CBE May 24, 2013

Maybe, I was trying not to think of it that way…hopefully not.

    • neeboo May 25, 2013

  6. Shauwndapooh May 24, 2013

  7. Oh Yeah!!! May 24, 2013

    Baphomet!

  8. LA LA May 24, 2013

I like the song and I hope for the music video they can add an Aaliyah in there or something lol.

The only thing that leaves me to question is if he has mentioned Drake(subliminally) in the song? Did Aaliyah really inspire him or something?

If he EVER makes any devilish remarks or even talks about that other n**ga name Drake in the song than I am literally going to hate this guy.

You don’t play with Aaliyah like that, she was never the one to involve herself in negativity like Rihanna. And we all know Chris and a lot of these new artists will do anything to gain controversy so that they can sell.

If this song turns out to what it is and that is being a shot at Drake than I hope the whole world will be on my side to collect all his album and roll over it with a Bulldozer = Sinead O’connor style that b*tch.

    • neeboo May 25, 2013

You being messy! Please stop, see the song for what it is and stop stirring up bs.

    • HA HA HA HU May 29, 2013

So Drake can totally rip on him and diss him on his Aaliyah collab “Enough Said” and Chris isn’t allowed to diss Drake back on his Aaliyah collab? That’s some hypocritical b*******.

The fact that Drake used “Enough Said” to attack and diss Chris Brown is one of the many reasons the vast majority of Aaliyah fans hated his verses in the song, and started hating him in general for messing with Aaliyah’s studio scraps.

      • HA HA HA HU May 29, 2013

Oh yeah, and not to mention the fact that Ginuwine(One of Aaliyah’s closest friends) even said he doesn’t support Drake messing with the new Aaliyah album Blackground is trying to drop, and said he didn’t like “Enough Said” and said it’s disrespectful to Chris Brown who is one of Ginuwine’s good friends.

  9. CBE May 24, 2013

Im just hoping its a great track but the cover is giving me some unwanted vibes…if he wants to sell his soul then he is doing whats needed but damn Chris…we will see, I hope he doesnt follow these mainstream artists in selling out. Aaliyah was also a puppet before they killed her.

    • Kay May 26, 2013

You’re dumb and the +4 followers are 2 if you all think she was a puppet.

  10. Relvry May 24, 2013

Is it me or does this clearly look like the baphomet. I’m tired of the music industry and this evil bull… Not supporting this mess

  11. DOSSOME May 24, 2013

UGH!!!!What’s with all these controversy seeking single and albums covers though???

    • DWISE1 May 24, 2013

Everyone acts like fame doesn’t have it’s price. The things people do to maintain fame, smh. The days of honest music and artistry are fading and unappreciated. It’s like everything now has to have a waging tail or a demented vibe to get and keep listeners. Music should always be the driving force in music, not selfish gain.

  12. nobitchassness May 24, 2013

The snippet sounded good; I’m here for it.

    Rest In Peace Aaliyah.

  13. Alliyahfan76 May 24, 2013

AALIYAH would NEVER do a song with a WOMAN BEATER!!!! Disgusting

  14. eric May 24, 2013

I’m not surprised to see that Chris is still stuck on himself and looking more sick and disgusting than ever. You have to be a dirty and selfish person to attach Aaliyah’s name and memory to Chris Brown and his garbage song. Shame on everyone involved.

    • eric May 24, 2013

He cares nothing about Aaliyah. He’d have a fit if someone did this to his mother or to his daughter if he has one.

      • Oh Yeah!!! May 24, 2013

        did wat?

  15. yo May 24, 2013

If he wants to make a song with somebody who has passed away in order to help keep her memory alive then he can. Her mama and daddy aint saying s*** so why should yall. Mind yall own damn busines, smh!

    • Kim May 24, 2013

Actually there is a nasty legal battle going on between Aaliyah’s family and recorded company which is ran by her dirty uncle( he is selling Aaliyah vocals for his failing company).Aaliyah’s parents have no control over her estate(sad right+her farther died last yr.)Her mother feels like she lost her daughter in this industry. Sidenote:these vocals are not unreleased they are from Digital Black song feat. Aaliyah called “Don’t Think They Know.”

    • Kay May 26, 2013

And her mom and dad really has no say. Her brother has all rights to her songs. You shouldn’t really comment if you don’t know what your talking about. And you should take your own advice

  16. i&i(yardie) May 24, 2013

well lets hope this song is turned up cuz i haven’t been wowed by CB lately

  17. thetapi May 24, 2013

Um… isn’t his album called “X”? That’s what I think his shape looks like on this single cover. People are always throwing out some devilish s*** like that’s the only way to have success these days, which is why certain people don’t have it. The minute something is edgy– “OMG! ILLUMINATI!” And to the person up there who said Aaliyah “was a puppet”- what a completely unimaginative way to regard a talented woman’s life and career. She was unique, marched to the beat of her own drum, and was taken while doing what she loved- working. But whatever.. never been a big fan of Chris, but I think he did well with Brandy’s album so I’m looking forward to this track. Aaliyah sounds amazing on it. I do have reservations with the whole Drake subplot but we will see how it goes.

  18. Sisqo’s new album is coming!! “Last Dragon” 2013 May 24, 2013

    Anyways…..

No, the R&B king, Sisqo is not dead! The R&B king Sisqo is not dead! The R&B king Sisqo is not dead!
He is coming back to release a new album
Sisqo, the original blonde will show these wannabe R&B cats how it’s done.

  19. Ropeburn May 24, 2013

So let me get this straight. Blackground records has time to rent out Aaliyah’s voice like Rent-A-Center but they don’t have time to release Jojo’s amazing new music?

    • Kay May 26, 2013

Aaliyah>Jojo even in death. But I’m sensing a lawsuit approaching for Chris Brown. He had to ask permission just like Drake.

  20. danny b May 24, 2013

In all honesty, ppl say left and right, Beyonce wouldnt be nothing if Aaliyah were alive, which is utter complete b******* to the max. The real revelation is that Rihanna or even Ciara wouldnt be anything is Aaliyah were still here. And thats fact.

    • Kay May 26, 2013

Yeahh way wrong. Aaliyah didn’t need a group to get started and she was already starting her Acting Career when Beyoncé and her back up singers/dancers DestinyChild were opening for another artist.
